It was with animals and they transformed and I think the gorilla was optimus prime, but maybe not. Anyone know what I'm talking about? It was a good show, but I forgot what it was...Oh good, I found a couple optimus prime gorilla pictures. That was a great show.</div>Beast Wars(Beasties in Canada)!!!I loved Cheetor.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! No I know thats seen this movie was dissapointed, mind you, its atop the Box Office.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! Ugh, the plot was so, so stupid. I threw my hands up multiple times, rubbed my temples, just questioning what person thinks that this plot is acceptable to a person above the age of say, 16.That said, it was a fun movie... nothing particularly stood out as bad aside from the horrible plot.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! I might check it out tomorrow. Too bad they didn't have SideSwipe and/or Hot Shot in the movie. That woulda been sweet.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! I never really liked transformers, about 3-5 years before my time I guess. Early 90s was about the bulls, pogs, and rugrats when I was a small child.

I grew up on Doug, Rugrats, AAAAHH Monsters, Power Rangers and Spiderman.

I couldn't stand Batman Begins, it was way too long and well he was Batman for like 15 minutes at the end of the movie..

Batman Begins.

I thought it was after Joker killed his parents, I didn't get why they changed their mind and decided to make a new origin.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I thought it was after Joker killed his parents, I didn't get why they changed their mind and decided to make a new origin.</div>Joker never killed his parents, that was something Tim Burton came up with when he did his version of Batman, that never happened in the comics. Also, Joker didn't die like he did in Burton's Batman. Christopher Nolan is rebooting the Batman series with his own vision, so it's only natural he starts the thing over with a origin story. It's way better then the idea Singer had in continuing his Superman with the sequels like 3 decades ago.

It has plenty of action, and you don't have to think.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! Batman Begins is very true to the actual story. Its much like the Dark Knight sotries(I think the 2nd film is actually called The Dark Knight or something)....havent you ever wondered why it wasnt corny and gay like the other Batmans? Batman Begins is the shiz...

Nolan is going to continue to make Batman movies and continue the series under this new origin?
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (GArenas @ Jul 8 2007, 04:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'> that's pretty good.</div>I'm sorry if I seemed like an ***hole there. It's just that the new Batman story is based on doing everything that the last few Batman movies didn't (especially Batman and Robin, Batman Forever). They were terrible because they were based on making idiotic gadgets, new costumes, outrageous villains, blah blah blah. By time they were done with that, it had nothing to do with the original story of Batman. I prefer Batman Begins to watching Jim Carrey, Ahnold, and so on prancing around like idiots and saying silly cliches for two hours. That's just me, though.Transformers is a fun movie, but it mostly avoids themes and relationships in the original Transformers story. There are a lot of things that should have been done with that movie, but most people like it.

Its much like the Dark Knight sotries(I think the 2nd film is actually called The Dark Knight or something)....havent you ever wondered why it wasnt corny and gay like the other Batmans? Batman Begins is the shiz...</div>If anything it ripped Frank Miller's rendition of Batman(and no surprize the next sequel is titled The Dark Knight, Miller's graphic novel was aptly titled The Dark Knight Returns). But I would not say Batman Begins is close to the actual comic book from the beginning. Especially with how they portrayed Ra's Al Ghul. And the other Batmans were not corny and gay. The only one that fit that scheme is Batman and Robin. The first two were dark and had dark humor and played along with the abstract world of Gotham. Batman is not supposed to be realistic.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! With the exception of Batman with Catwomen and the Penguin...I just thought the ones with George Clooney and Val Kilmer were corny...which the original Batman was. The newer films are like the Dark Night like you said, which I personaly like better. But I never said it was supposed to be realistic...although it is more realistic compared to other superhero stories.
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! Ugh, I wanted to see this so badly, but the two ladies I'm going with tonight want to see 'Knocked Up' instead....oh well...
Re: TRANSFORMERS!! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>With the exception of Batman with Catwomen and the Penguin...I just thought the ones with George Clooney and Val Kilmer were corny...which the original Batman was</div>The original Batman was in vain with the 2nd one(Batman Returns) you're referring to with Catwomen/Penguin. The third and fourth sequels drifted away from the formula(much to do with Schumacher stepping in and Burton leaving along with Keaton). I don't see how the original was corny like the Schumacher headed sequels.

I think one time they wanted to see Jeepers Creepers or Fear.com or some sh*t movie like that, but it was rated R. Luckily we couldn't get the one 17 year old to buy us all tickets. Ugh.
