He already does. And he knows how to create space, he just does it in a subtle way. Just check out the first play from yesterday’s highlight video. Hes also good at creating space at the rim using his body. He’s already got NBA strength. Just wait until his man strength kicks in. He’s going to be a bully.

I also like that he came in with a rep. as a bad defender (which, presumably, is why he went late in the draft), but that hasn't been the case in the NBA.

Trent? He has played 33 minutes total in the NBA in 7 games, all of which were in garbage time. How do you know either way if he's a good defender or otherwise from that sample size?

On offense he reminds me of another 2nd round pick Neil selected...... Allen Crabbe. I think he can be better than AC on defense.

Tough to find things to argue about after a blowout win. I give him credit for creativity.

You have to be IN THE NBA to be in these things...

Regardless, I don't really care about what "in the NBA" means. All I meant was it's all the data we have, and his defense has been much better than we were led to believe.

I agree he is doing that against G-league defenders. Just wondering how that will translate against stronger, more athletic players in the NBA.

Yes. He's a lot taller in the G-League than he is in the NBA, so right now he easily shoots over defenders' arms. He'll miss those inside shots he's making now.

I am wondering why they brought Simons back up. Especially his 2 performance hasn't been good. Trent plays again tomorrow for his 6th game and he been really been good. This is Dallas G-LEAGUE team is there possible a trade with Dallas that would include Trent.

Simons probably got called up earlier because his g league team doesn’t play again until Saturday. I’m guessing Trent will get recalled after his game tomorrow.

That's the kicker...those layups and floaters at the rim in the G league will get stuffed in their face in the big leagues

I don't about Trent he got that drive to the left and then he takes that back step shot he gets enough space to get that shot off in any league. On his floater he really going depends when he released it and might adjust and release it early.

I more higher on Trent then I am on Simons right now. Trent 4 out 5 games he has score over 30 points with a lot shots but with very good fg percentage and at the 3 line. He also rebounding very well down there that a plus for him. Simons last 2 games wasn't very good for him especially in the turnovers category but I won't write him off until his 3 year. But right now Trent his the better player overall.
