He may not be contributing, but Meyers seems like a good dude.

I wish you all a happy summer after making fun of him on what's getting to be a personal level.

I like Meyers, just wish he would develop more of a post game. The few times we've seen video from the practice facility it shows him only working on his 3pt shooting. I don't mind him taking that shot but he really needs to spend more time near the basket.

No. Its not even slightly on a personal level. I feel that I am a decent person, and help others. I have donated COUNTLESS hours of my free time to the community. Still, if I worked at the Pike Place Market, and I was screwing around on the job, and tossed a salmon off the top of one of their signs; I'd probably get fired....

I like him as a person and what he does for others. However, when he is on the job- and the whistle blows- and he then does a turnaround jumper from the corner 3, and it bounces off the TOP of the backboard.....

I can't take him seriously, because he does not appear to take his job seriously. There is nothing personal about it at all....

I think the problem with Meyers is he takes it too seriously. You can literally see him thinking instead of just playing. He'll probably be a good coach one day. Shitty players tend to make solid coaches.

I agree with you on that. As another member here said, part of the problem could be psychological. Play, don't think about it. When he is doing pushups under the hoop during a game though, in front of 20k people.... To me, that's not taking your job seriously. Honestly, my hope is that Jusuf can help him out. "Obi Wan Murkic, you're our only hope...." Lol

I get it. His on court performance leaves much to be desired.

Discussing his efforts on the court to me is different than posting unflattering pictures of him and essentially calling him retarded (which in itself has become frowned upon just in general terms)

Someone who has seats right next to the Blazer bench mentioned that Meyers is really rude to the ball boys and turns down tons of autograph requests while the rest of the bench is really nice and grants almost every signor request. Just one fan's opinion but they were very adamant.

It boggles my mind to hear more than a few people make comments like that about several players on the team. Like all these guys are free to play however they seem to individually choose.
If that is the case, I sure don't know why.

    pretty much.

somewhere along his development route, he or one of his coaches somehow fell in love with the idea that he's a "A big guy with length that spaces the floor, is an outside threat, and therefore creates matchup problems" and kind of ignored the fact this was complete and utter bullshit outside of maybe 20 games in 5 years.

he's still tall at least, but does nothing with his athleticism - that quote to Quick about not being able to rebound explosively made me wonder if he's ever watched any of his own tapes.
