Exactly how does him having played alongside LeBron make him off greater value or more desirable to the Blazers?
I'm not sure why - I've never even seen him play - but I want to equate Davis to Haslem. A good, no-nonsense PF who knows how the position should be played. Though I suspect that Haslem has (had) a bit more range than Davis does.
I can't see how that would work, unless Cleveland wanted to S&T him to said third team, and the Cavs also wanted Kaman for some reason.
Maybe what Haslem would be if he had a LOT more athleticism. Really not sure who a good comparator would be - Ben Wallace?
To clarify, I'm thinking prime-Haslem. Championship Haslem, and the years immediately preceding. Definitely not current-day Haslem!
And I suppose I should further clarify that I meant the Wade/Shaq Championship Haslem, not the LBJ/Wade/Bosh Championship Haslem.
He has one year of playoff experience (along with three years playing on one of the worst teams in the league). The only way he gets a ring is if he stays in Cleveland and continues to ride LeBron's coattails. BNM
No, we wouldn't. We just reached a buyout with Mike Miller who has much more playoff experience (and success) than Tristan Thompson. Thompson wants a huge payday. He's not worth it. He's a roll player that rode LeBron James' coattails through one postseason. BNM
And we have two PFs that are better than him currently, with another two who could be better than him in the next couple years. But yeah, we need another PF - four isn't enough.
Yeah, and that 1-year of playoff experience will come in really handy three or four years down the road when we actually make the playoffs. BNM
I see no reason to spend big money on this guy when they have Meyers, Vonleh, Ed Davis, and Cliff Alexander. It would make more sense to spend it on a sg or sf next summer.
