I think I get where you're coming from--that he's not outright lying, but that he's making statements that get people to believe that something could happen that is not necessarily realistic. Still a different definition of honesty than I have, but I understand that there is a spectrum there on which I fall near the extreme end.

Ha! OK. Actually quite a few people do not get it. Some on both sides of the table. But it does actually work to help both sides make some progress, not necessarily what you wanted or expected before you began. @MarAzul, problem with the entire line of response from you in this thread is that Trump is not negotiating. He has the house, senate and Whitehouse in agreement. He is siding with the Democrats to move republicans towards gun control. So maybe he is negotiating after all, but for tighter restrictions.

I posted the clips of him talking early in this thread. I posted clips of Trump explaining his views earlier in this thread. I figured you watched him explain that he wanted to raise the age limit on assault weapons, wanted to register every gun purchase, wanted to make sure concealed carry was not nationally reciprocal and that if there is a chance someone is mentally unstable take the guns away first and then deal with the repercussions.
