...covered in # 2451...unless the GOP can unite, (and I have my doubts) the moderates could well be voted out of office during the midterm elections.

...and the GOP not standing up to Trump is the problem. They are as divided as this country and I also now have my doubts if they will get anything meaningful done at all. There are too many who are lined up against him and just as many who are blindly loyal to him and also a good number who are too wishy washy...not a good formula for success.

Wait...there are moderates left? Where? Obama, Reid and Pelosi eliminated any last vestige of moderate Democrat.

And by definition Republicans can't be considered moderate if the support the current GOP platform.

The mid term cycle is stacked against the democrats and besides Trump and GIP will use the obstructionist bend to expand GOP position.

Any other analysis at this time is liberal spin and wishful thinking.

I f Trumpo concentrates on Infrastructure the bi partisan unity will occur. A trillion dollars (over time) is a ridiculous but so are the costs of one aircraft carrier and a couple of subs. If they eliminated foreign aid, a flat top and two subs the cost could be palatable. 1.png Apple_will_reportedly_introduce_a-4519f67010de92782f65afb7773ee5a5.png

...S.H.^^^, I was surprised that they decided to take on health care first...I mean, I would think that if he started out with the less important parts of his agenda it would be easier to get through the House and Senate...small running plays and short passes to begin with would have given Trump some momentum moving forward as well as helping his credibility problem...instead, he attempted a poorly constructed "hail Mary pass" on health care...and was intercepted.

...fwiw, this whole thing with Devin Nunes and The White House reeks of BS...Nunes looks like a man who is hiding something.

lol! Oh they can call themselves moderates, but my point was that's not how they are characterized by the left. They are still all fiscal conservatives and ascribe to the planks loathed by the left, the only common theme is that they all hail from legacy Blue States.

Trumps supporters demand lots of fresh red meat....ridding the the govt of the prefix Obama- was always going to be high priority. Its still doable, but they have got to get away from these mega-bills.

Nunes is a tool looking for a job in the administration, lol!

As for Kushner, his mission is an important one. Killing the bureaucracy is key to everything. Its actually commonplace in business Ron to have a team of "killers" come into an organization and shake up the status quo of corporate bureaucracy. Now if he could have the Bobs do what they did in Office Space and put the meetings on CSPAN, I think we have something worth watching, lol!

...well you're arguing with yourself because that was never the point until you decided to make it one...if you relook at what I said, my original point (#2451) has nothing to do with how "moderate" members of The House are viewed by Dems, or by you, or whether they even exist (and they do), but instead, how their constituents back home will view them because of the broken promises that were made to them...and if those moderates cannot "find a way to uphold their promise to totally repeal Obamacare the moderates may very well be voted out of office in the mid-term elections which could possibly tilt the scales in the other direction and result in the Dems taking over both Houses once again.

...that's it, nothing more, nothing less.

...wow, are you actually defending this?...seriously?

...Kushner has no business being given this assignment in the first place... he's even less experienced than Trump.

...Kushner; no government experience, no policy experience, no diplomatic experience, and business experience limited to his family’s real estate development firm, a brief stint as a newspaper publisher, and briefly bidding to acquire the Los Angeles Dodgers,
...will be working on trade, Middle East policy in general, an Israel-Palestine peace deal more specifically, reforming the Veterans Administration, and solving the opioid crisis...

...yeah, Kushner will be a difference maker...his only claim to fame is that he's fucking Trump's Daughter...he'll be just as dysfunctional as his Father In Law.

Ah okay, we missed each other's points. No harm. I wouldn't worry just yet, the house isn't going back to the dems. And if anything your moderates are more in danger from conservatives based on precedent with the Tues group.

Just so underscore where I stand, I'm a conservative and a constructionist. That puts me somewhere between Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. Like both it means I root for the GOP.

I'm happy the Yanks won in 2009, hate Arod but he was on the team and winning outweighed his stain. Trump is like that for me. Stuck with that contract so as long we win and the Sux (i.e. Democrats) lose, I don't care who the fucking DH is.

...not at all sure how and why you keep correlating MLB and our Government...they're nothing alike, Tote.

...come to Trump's defense all you want if it makes you feel better... it appears that you're "getting tired of winning"...just like Trump promised we would. :biglaugh:
