strawman Matts....there is no choice. Any nuclear use against US or US ally must be retaliated with superior nuclear force to maintain future deterrence. As for concern for children and gradchildren I dont begrudge anyone for those sentiments, I just like to look longer term in the context of the survivability and prosperity of all of the USA. As I said before, nukes go away only when we have something even more potent and expedient. Which by the way will look something like a disintegration ray that only vaporizes humans and leaves everything else intact. We are not that far off with certain medical laser/radiation technologies....power sources are key to most modern tech.

Sorry Ron but yes indeed the US will survive and prosper through an all ou WW3. We have been preparing for this longer than anyone. You may not like who gets to survive, but there would be many survivors.

MAD was a media ruse, our underlying doctrine has always been about emerging from WW3 as the victor.

Of course if things start to really heat up I’d recommend an extended holiday in Switzerland because most of that country will survive as well.
