Even as a 12 year old I thought that was a bit excessive and asked her to explain. And she said that if a man couldn’t be trusted to do right by his wife, then how could he be trusted to do right by an entire country. Yes Cippy, I know you might ask what this has to do with anything, but there is a serious vein of truth in that question. If you can’t be true and faithful to the person who shares your bed and bore your children, what on God’s green earth is going to compel you to be true and faithful to 320 million strangers???? The fact that the bulk of congress....or politicians from time immemorial may have engaged in similar behaviors is utterly irrelevant. We, as American citizens have the right to ask certain questions and to have certain expectations. You (supposedly) choose not to care. That is your right. I don't think the problem was just with the GOP. Bill Clinton's antics disgusted me, he embarrassed us for our President. Not just people of the GOP. But I did not think he should be impeached for this low life behavior. Still think today is was wrong, he was elected and should have been allowed to keep his eye on the ball while in office.
