Sure no problem. I’ll remind you again when you forget and start bugging me, it usually doesn’t take more than a day. Maybe you can get YankMe59 to cheerlead again.

How is this not the greatest scandal out there? Why is the media not talking about this? This is horrific.

Because we're defending Europe, half of Africa, most of the Pacific Rim, something like 104 countries, and POTUS Trump is the first President to suggest that they should pay their fair share. Also, the China number is bullshit. Nobody knows what China spends, but they've built a nest of Islands and developed hypersonic weapons without spending any money to defend other countries.

Because it’s business as usual and the media is complicit in clamoring for wars and sucking Saudi Arabia’s dick. Nothing here is new, Trump was just dumb enough to say it out loud on national television. There are no scandals in America when it comes to the military industrial complex. The media tows the line for their sponsors, period.

Big difference between actually "defending" other countries with our troops vs simply selling military hardware to other countries...the latter is fueled by money, and not with lives.

Stop taking what he says at face value. He doesn't mean it.

Jules, I don't get this...are you suggesting that we should not reply to @MARIS61 at all?

The number of USA millitary bases in other countries, manned by our troops is a secret. But, it is well over 500 bases, and may be as high as 800, spread out over 70 countries.

If it's "a secret" how would you know how many bases and how many countries are involved?

As well as how does that justify over $400 billion more than the next biggest spender on military?

The numbers that were cited are very questionable and/or misleading. As far as I can tell, the US has a military presence in about 39 countries (rough count) and most don't have actual combat troops and many are simply United Nations led installations that include US military.
Furthermore, saying that the US has military bases in "70 countries" doesn't seem realistic to me, considering there are only about 190 countries in the world.

And "YankMe59"?...lol...seriously? ...how juvenile. Guess you had to consult a
4th grade playground manual to come up with that one.

No, you can reply to him. When he's making solid posts that aren't just done to troll people, he's a good poster to engage in conversation with. Just there's no need to respond when he's obviously in shtick mode.

Democrats went along with that to get other things that they wanted.

Point taken, Jules...but I'm not going to try to decipher which of his posts are sincere and which are trollish.

Instead, wouldn't it be easier for him to somehow flag certain posts as either sincere or complete troll bait?...or better yet, here's an idea, how about if he stopped making trollish posts in the first place?

But we both know that's not gonna happen. Sooooooooo...

I don't know what to suggest, I don't know why he's stuck to this act. I remember a time when he was a solid contributor.
