The guy on the left might have been the owner Trump was seeking if he were still an owner. Hint: former San Francisco 49er owner. Kaepernick's claim to fame might have died before it began. But then Jerry Jones maybe too. If someone will risk the paycheck to test him.
You know what's more respectful to the United States of America than standing for the national anthem? Doing something to try to bring awareness to an issue that's bringing this country down. Doing something to try to bring awareness to a problem which could help make this country a better place. To me, doing all this despite the negativity and even death threats that come there way shows more respect for this country than lazily falling in line and standing for the anthem. One is an empty symbolic show of "respect", one is an active show if respect which shows an emotional investment in the state this country is actually in.
You know what's disrespectful to the flag and the country? Calling for the firing of employees due to their peaceful efforts to try to influence positive change by exercisers their rights, and such rights that are the "supposed" foundation of this country.
I get on here and of course the first two pages Denny is defending what Trump said. At what point do people who are still defending Trump say enough is enough and stop supporting him instead of trying to defend what he says by saying "well he didn't really mean it that way, your taking it out of context" even when the context is pretty apparent to most everyone else.
Jones has been proven time and time again to be a players owner. Given players second chances, lets them seek him out and talk to him about pretty much any issue and going out of his way to try and help all his players. I really doubt Jones would say anything negative about any player of his who would take a knee.
I wouldn't be that surprised to see coaches kneel today in a sign of support for their players now, or whole teams.
