Soldiers in wartime can lose it...flip out...go insane in the heat of war....seen it, been there...as it always has been throughout our lives...first decapitations I remember were Japanese soldiers killing British prisoners in South East Asia...now with the internet and cell phones we just have an instant window into the horrors of war
No argument on either of the first two; the question is the third point. Carter's example notwithstanding, is there actually any rule, law, or ruling that indicates that he was obligated to divest himself of business interests? I've yet to see one.
You got that right. Most of them around the South China Sea are indeed Muslims. Dealt with them several times. That is where I learned the word Kaffir. But you carry on riverman, my man! I do not wish to argue with you about it. You won't read the Quran or the Hadiths to find out about it, so argument is pointless. God is great! then cut a kaffir's throat! Defend that shit to someone that cares to hear you try.
Everytime I hear of an American service man getting killed by one of the guys that they are supposed to be working with, I want to just cry! Holy hell man, we can't continue to do this shit, it is insane. You can not be putting any trust into people that are taught, you are a Kaffir. They have 18 way in any direction to justify making bad stuff happen to the Kaffir, all justified in their Quran. Then some more again in their Hadiths. Wake up people, Trump and Tulsi are correct.
About 35 years ago, one of my guys worked with the Bank of Turkey, in Ankara to get IMS Fast/Path up and running. I went over there as they were to bring online the Southern region, opposite Syria and Irag. This involve bringing ATMs and Businesses switching to point of sale hardware online with the bank. The Project manager for the Bank was a bit more nervous about me going down there than I would have liked. He assured me that we would be alright, he pointed out the security detail he had on the job. But he admonished me to not get off by myself. Then he refreshed my memory of what a Kaffir is. He told me to my face, you are a Kaffir to most of the people in the region. I did already know this, but I didn't say anything except all right. When we got down to the town closest to the boarder, that was suppose to come online the next day, all was calm and peaceful. The ATM were to be loaded overnight and the next day was let her rip. The next morning however, they ( I don't know who) brought three guys in to the city square. Shit! They just cut their throats and hung them upside down by their feet. They had robbed some ATMs of the cash. They were Kurds I was told. Actually they had another name I can't remember but it was for Kurds. Looked like Turks to me! I mentions this to the Project Manager, how do you know they are Kurds? They robbed the ATM! Damn fine place. Went back to Turkey one more time after that, to sail the Aegean Sea out of Bodrum. That's when I learned not to eat the watermelons! Oh lord! Do not eat the watermelons.
Not sure I can give a direct answer. But I suppose it is possible to rank nations as not friendly. On the negative scale of -1 to -10. Where as you may even become allies of -3 against a -8, and support the -3 and even aid them to be of use. Even though, knowing full well there is no chance they will ever become a friend, even a lowly +1. Without a common shared moral system, trusted friend is not possible.
There's no law that says he must divest himself of his business interests until it conflicts with the emoluments clause of the U.S. Constitution which, when you consider his business interests, would happen pretty damn soon as a U.S. President.
Do they though? Again, from my reading of the legal definition of emoluments, it doesn't relate to legitimate commerce. An emolument is specifically remuneration for an action carried out via the powers of his office.
Just to mock the Dems who wasted time and fake outrage points...the far more costly option to taxpayers (Camp David) it is! https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-doral-resort-out-2020-g7-summit
FWIW, nearly every possible meeting place capable of hosting the G7 summit is owned by someone with enormous political influence in our government, and the majority of them are owned by foreigners from India, Japan or China. None of them are as impressive as Doral, and the whole point of hosting the G7 is to impress the hell out of the billionaires who control the world in a way that they want to drink your country's kool aid. We want them to want to do what Trump asks them to do. Be our ally, have our back, and step up and carry their own weight as we have always carried ours. Camp David is a rundown dump with a long, storied history of promises and pacts that were broken before the ink dried. The message it conveys is one of accepted failure and lost hope.
Yeah. There’s nowhere to go in the United States of America that is good enough for the summit. Totally. Whenever we have hosted foreign dignitaries we have housed them at the Holiday Inn Express near the airport. But they do get a nice airport shuttle and a hot breakfast so that’s nice.
What do you think all those foreign leaders renting rooms from him in his hotels that he frequents means? How about all those Secret Servic personnel renting rooms in his sparsely rented hotels means? And what about all those Secret Service personnel who must rent the entire golf course in his nearly vacant golf courses whenever he plays there? What about his top secret tax returns? The list is nearly endless. He even tried to get the G-7 summit held at one of his poorly rented hotels which would increase his earnings mightily.
Camp Davis was good enough to serve as a host to a peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs but not good enough for Trump. However, a Trump resort in Florida that was losing money hand over fist was good enough especially in the hot hot summer. Sure, I trust your judgement.
