We really need a new secretary of the navy though, Mabus is a piece of shit. He should be hanged for treason.

 

The reason we have two parties and not likely to have more, is because we are naturally split into two camp by our salient character traits. One groups decision making is driven, using primarily logic to process the data received. The other groups decision making is primarily concerned with how the decision will affect people first then the logical consequences.

Almost no amount of argument will alter this process unless you use the other side process to find common ground first.

Not much point in actually getting worked over it. It is what it is. It is often best to segregate functions based on which approach best achieves the needed result. Elections are very poor in achieving this end as they do not achieve a complementary solution.

 

LOTS of reading. Read read read. Massad Ayoob, Alan Korwin, and John Lott are three of my favorite experts that I study. Not to mention the old wisdom of the late Col. Jeff Cooper. With an honorable mention to David Codrea and the always entertaining but incredibly smart John Connor (a writer with FMG publications).

There's no hidden method beyond that. Years and years of reading, talking to gun owners, and talking to experts is really my only secret.

 

Well, I can't quite understand how they ever decided to use women as say, combat Marines. But on the other hand I see no reason for women not to fill roles where the equipment involved makes it irrelevant whether used by man or woman.

Because of liberal agendas. I can't think of what they were trying accomplish, other than weakening our military as a whole. Unless they were just trying to make anyone that opposed it just look like a bigot/sexist.

I made a 15 minute speech on this in my public speaking class, and left out a good hour of material.

The whole idea, and execution of the idea was retarded at every turn.

But to be succinct as possible, it started as "Well if females can pass the minimum physical requirements, and then pass the different schools, then they should be able to hold those billets"
Every service member laughed because we knew that females couldn't do that. But after the handpicked, cream of he crop females kept failing the minimum requirements for those jobs. It turned into "Well maybe the requirements don't need to be that high" And now we have co-ed boyscouts for a military.

 

Even jobs like artillery should not be open to women for many reasons. But the main one is this; adding females to platoons of men, is not going to add to the effectiveness of that platoon. In other words, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I hear you. I believe in assigning the right assets to the matching requirement.. It ain't got shit to do with equal opportunity. Example, Fighter pilot. I participated in picking up a few of these guys,
most were not very big. Good thing too, as I had to put a couple of them into their raft before we took them aboard. Equipment malfunctions disabled them with arms out of the shoulder socket.
I don't think either of the two weighed over 135 or 140. Easier yet with a 120 lb lady.
