The difference is that Trump has a history of such behavior and flat out lying about it, it's what he does. He's such a pathological liar I find it hard to believe anything that comes out of his mouth. This piece of shit paid a porn star to have sex with him while his wife was pregnant with their child, but swore he didn't, and then paid the woman off not to tell. And he did this with at least one other woman as well. Sorry, but I'm much more inclined to give this latest female the benefit of the doubt than I am Pinocchio.
While Pinocchio is resurrected at the end of the book/movie when the fairy decides that he was, after all, brave and true despite his many transgressions - I am afraid that I have no such hope for the governor of mother Russia's north-american territories.
I wonder if this country is ever going to be able to have a “conventional” presidency again. It seems like as soon as the other side takes office, the right is going to be out for vengeance and out will come the scandals, inquiries, lawsuits etc. much like what we’re seeing now. I’m not saying Trump is innocent of all the shit he gets accused of, but a fair portion of it is bullshit. I just wonder if this is what the presidency is going to be from now on, regardless of party. Just a soap opera to keep people from paying attention to all the fucked up shit that’s really going on. I bet all the corporatists and Wall Street scumbags love this shit. It’s like party time cuz mom and dad aren’t home.
Waiting for facts isnt giving the benefit of the doubt though. I know nothing about this lady, she could be a liar too. Who knows, but I hope we find the truth.
Facts mean nothing to neither Trump nor his minions anyway because they are either covered up or denied or ignored or labeled "fake news" or "alternative facts."
Sure but they can matter to you and I. I dont like Trump either and heck I wouldnt give him the benefit of the doubt, or be at all shocked if he did this and has many women out there who have had similar awful experiences at his hands, but you’re upset that his “minions” are letting their feelings get in the way of facts and truth, we can do the same in instances like this or we can desire the truth.
I'm on your side but what I'm really upset about is that the facts that "matter to you and I" are being distorted, ignored, denied, etc., by Trump and his minions. A large portion of the American people being served a fraudulent kettle of fish...and unfortunately, another portion of Americans are regaling in that same kettle of fish.
Unfortunately, there is so much hate and distrust between the Dems and Reps in the House and the Senate as well as their followers, I'm not sure either party will survive it. Though it's been somewhat like that for years, IMO, Trump has magnified it. I've never really understood the need for 2 parties because they cannot agree on the color of shit. They're so dysfunctional that I don't know how they get anything done. Who knows...Maybe they'll morph into a singular "common sense" party...just spitballing.
Ive commented here before that I think one of the the things that makes living today very interesting is there a crazy amount of information, but finding the truth seems increasingly difficult, and personally I feel like there are so many parties actively working at keeping the truth hidden.
I think we will get to the point that nobody with any sort of a checkered past will want to be President because they know every single thing about them is going to come out (fine with me). Or I suppose, we get to the point where nobody cares anymore about your past unless it a felony, which I am sure disqualifies you from running? Everything else will just be a huge shoulder shrug emoji.
Who doesn't have some sort of checkered past though? I think option two is more likely and seems to be getting there, people just don't seem to care, you do a few policies that people like and they'll excuse away whatever behavior you exhibit.
I think a lot of people don't have anything from their past that would be problematic. I'm not talking "oh no he got drunk at a halloween party in '96", but Trumpkin stuff, like sexual assault.
