I'd like to discuss politics without a left and right position to start with. Trump has fired almost 100 right wing cabinet members....let's get back to being American citizens and feel free to express our opinions without the bipartisan majority tags and we'll be making some progress.
I like you river, I really do and the odd thing is I dont even disagree with you about Trump. I just dont really think you and I are even discussing the same topic at this point so I’ll bow out as its not worth fighting about. Not sure if its my fault for not making my point well, but I dont believe were getting anywhere with this and its not because of a disagreement it seems to me like were not communicating very well.
Here's the first sentence of the topic thread: "DRAIN THAT SWAMP!!" This opens a lot of reasonable interpretations.
I started the term Trumpettes when Trump was running for office...it's because he's not really a Republican....he's a bandwagon politician...he deserves his own political name...it's why I don't call his fans republicans...
Obama would likely have run in 2012 and won then to become the president There is one thing in the article I do agree with. IRAQ would have happened either way. 9/11 was the excuse Dick Cheney(who was really in charge) needed to go into Iraq to take control of their oil fields. Cheney would have found another way to get it done.
I'm not angry at you...I just have strong opinions about the state of the union right now and find it exasperating that there's any speck of reasonable doubt of Trump sympathy that can possibly be justified by any stretch of the imagination. Trump is not a victim of politics...he's a problem for all politics
You are acting as if everyone on the left has the same interests, same motivations, etc. We aren't that organized. Some of us are going to focus on Ukraine, some of us are going to laugh at his stupidly long ties. I agree with your point, it would be better if everyone was on-message and laser focused, but that isn't at all realistic. barfo
Trump went to Kentucky, Republican lost. Trump went to Louisiana, Republican lost. In two supposedly deep red States.
I don't call them Republicans, either, and that's because they aren't Republicans. They needed that party because they had the largest number of people who were mentally weak and easily swayed. I call them the Trump cult because their members are particularly mentally feeble and are mesmerized.
John T. Molloy wrote a book called Dress for Success must be somewhere around 40 or more years ago. He did an extensive study, employing experiments in public, on how people reacted to a large array of clothing. One of the things I recall him talking about was the proper length of a man's tie. I recall him saying that it should extend down to one inch above the waist line. Based on that, Trump doesn't know his ass about how a proper gentleman should dress. I not only wince at his stupid looking tie length but also his often use of a suit jacket that extends down to his knees like an overcoat. Why not wear an overcoat over a proper suit jacket?
True, his sartorial taste is terrible but I only wish that was his worst crime. Remember when conservative media said President Obama disgraced the office by wearing a tan suit? Trump also wore a tan suit but that wasn't a disgrace. And he didn't look good in it.
The body language when Trump sits in a chair dangling his arms between his splayed legs and slumped shoulders is about as weird as I've seen from anybody trying to look dignified...his tie almost drags on the ground when he's in a chair
