    > With all that happened internally, Trump loses the element of timing by inviting them for a private conference and co inviting their media by Putin's request. I would think delegation is a master principal for running an efficient business model. Apparently, Trump wants credit for being the omnipotent leader. The proper channels should have been followed through CIA or NSA appointees related to this subject matter. We must admit that Trump is really self absorbed and cares more about himself than the country. The Comey firing procedure and his backlash against him are proof to me.

“What the president discussed with the foreign minister was wholly appropriate to that conversation and is consistent with the routine sharing of information between the president and any leaders with whom he’s engaged,” General McMaster said at a White House briefing, seeking to play down the sensitivity of the information Mr. Trump disclosed.

    ...

Former officials said it was not uncommon for presidents to unintentionally say too much in meetings and said that in administrations from both parties, staff members typically established bright lines for their bosses to avoid crossing before such meetings.

I believe the people in the room, until they're proven liars.

“I stand by my statement that I made yesterday,” National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster told reporters at a White House briefing on Tuesday. “What I’m saying is that the premise of that article was false.”

Israeli officials would not confirm that they were the source of the information that Mr. Trump shared. In a statement emailed to The New York Times, Ron Dermer, the Israeli ambassador to the United States, reaffirmed that the two countries would maintain a close counterterrorism relationship.

“Israel has full confidence in our intelligence-sharing relationship with the United States and looks forward to deepening that relationship in the years ahead under President Trump,” Mr. Dermer said.

So do you actually think that a guy who works for Trump is going to come out and say the story is true? Really?

I asked you before, what's a credible news source that you would actually trust? Because I find it ludicrous that you are only willing to trust the word of someone FROM the Trump administration.

That's like believing the PR guy for big tobacco who says that cigarettes aren't addictive.

    Yes, really.

I have no reason to think the guy is lying. Yet.

I do have proof the media is out to get the administration and that they've run with completely false stories all along. The two most recent were the threatened resignation of the deputy atty general and the Comey request for more funding. This is looking like a 3rd smear that's being proven wrong.

"Credible news source" is an oxymoron.

I would consider it credible if "unnamed sources" were named and "former officials" weren't given much weight.

It contradicts the news media's narrative of the past 48 hours.

    Completely.

They didn't have to say anything at all.

They didn't have to say anything. They didn't have to say they're looking forward to working in more depth with Trump.

    But they did.

Saying nothing would have caused more shit. And it doesn't help that Trump is visiting next week.

And Clinton denied the Monica Lewinski story for a long time as well. Hell, he was impeached by the house for lying under oath about it. I have no idea why you trust the word of government officials. Of course they're going to cover their ass. Hillary lied as well. They all lie.

It's cause they have (R) next to their names. Denny finds them highly credible for some inane reason.

"until they're proven liars" lol. Cute considering this entire administration is unequivocally going through a crisis of credibility.

Can't prove them liars if every news source is fake news.

Eh..... maybe Denny is right after all....

In private, three administration officials conceded that they could not publicly articulate their most compelling — and honest — defense of the president: that Mr. Trump, a hasty and indifferent reader of printed briefing materials, simply did not possess the interest or knowledge of the granular details of intelligence gathering to leak specific sources and methods of intelligence gathering that would do harm to United States allies.

The media's narrative crumbles even more. Here's the city, in public reporting, that Trump somehow reveled as a secret.

U.S. Raid in Yemen Led to Laptop Ban on Flights, Officials Say
Intel sources fear terrorists can make bombs as small as computer batteries, provoking the ban on carry-on electronics at sensitive foreign airports.
    CLIVE IRVING
    JANA WINTER
    03.21.17 8:35 PM ET

Three intelligence sources told The Daily Beast that the ban on carry-on electronics aboard U.S.-bound flights from 10 airports in North Africa and the Middle East was the result of information seized during a U.S. raid on Al Qaeda in Yemen in January. The United Kingdom joined the U.S. ban Tuesday.

Information from the raid shows al Qaeda's successful development of compact, battery bombs that fit inside laptops or other devices believed to be strong enough to bring down an aircraft, the sources said. The battery bombs would need to be manually triggered, a source explained, which is why the electronics ban is only for the aircraft cabin not checked luggage.

Damage control is more important at this stage. Too much at stake for the region and radio silence would have been deafening.

CNN backpeddling over their own prior reporting.

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/15/politics/trump-russia-classified-information/

The President did not directly reveal the source of the information, but intelligence officials told CNN that there is concern that Russia will be able to figure out the highly sensitive source.

There is some disagreement, according to one of the sources, as to how far the President went. The intelligence relates to what is known as a special access program, or SAP, which covers some of the most classified information and is protected with unique access and security protocols.
