You like making things up as you go along. Also, the country size argument is tired. Stop with that fallacy. None of those countries had economic problems like ours did when we bailed out the banks. None of them.

Again the military is the most socialist entity on the planet. They literally pay your back child support.

The black bolded is just a false argument. Get off the hyperbole. You literally just made that up. Something tells me you'll try to point at Greece, a country who's main industry is tourism. Don't.

The bolded red? Not one liberal has ever made this argument. Strawman much?

A better question is how does that bullshit even enter one's mind in the first place? :dunno:

Not everybody is raised to think logically. Remember, we tend to behave more and more like our parents as we age. Thank God, my father taught me to reason.

If people think we pay to much taxes, why don't we band together and cut our military expenses?

We spent over $611 Bil our "defense budget". Trump just ballooned that another $78 Bil and cats got the nerve to complain about high taxes.

Our budget shows that we as a country have our priorities screwed.

I suppose it's because some people can talk themselves in to anything...and if they try hard enough they can always find a way to justify it in their own mind.

And they need to be lower.
And no sir, I didn't pull it out of my ass. I've had several good Canuck friends tell me that's about what they pay. Someone has to pay for a socialistic high cost government. And they only have 10% of the population that we do.

Ive always taught my kids, if there is something you want work hard and manage things properly and you could achieve your goal. take advantage of all the opportunities this country has to offer and never take it for granite. And to know, to whom much is given, much is expected.

For 'granite'? Did you really mean to insert a hard form of rock in that sentence? How about 'granted'?

Sure, they pay higher taxes but then they get free medical including meds. They also have other benefits.

You should try a visit up there and see if they're happy or not.

Lanny, I covered Canada for 20 years in my profession. All I ever heard was negative about their medical.
When I would fly home there would be a bunch of Canadians going to the States for all sorts of medical care. And they were happy to pay for it!
Everything in Canada is high. They have 10% of our population so duty and high taxes are of utmost importance.
Their GST is also tax upon tax.

It's the wealthy ones who come here for expensive medical care.

Have you ever been to Vancouver, B.C. or Victoria? How about Grandforks? Those people seem really really happy. By the way, you can get Cuban cigars in Canada.

All those paragraphs and not a single fact to try and prove any of your points. Not one. You just keep saying I'm wrong and I'm dumb etc etc.

Next time just say "nuh-uh!" It takes less time and accomplishes the same thing.

My sister and brother in law are have dual citizenship. The have the place in Alberta and a place in Idaho. A few years ago she was diagnosed with Cancer and the wait for treatment at that time was two years. Pretty typical. Obviously they came to the states for treatment. The upside is that she does maintain residence in Canada for six months a year to have her small stuff covered. That is about to change, with the easing of obama care regulations, her medical insurance costs are almost to the point that it will be affordable to purchase here.

...lower taxes are great in principle but in reality, sooner or later, someone has to pay for roads, infrastructure, etc., and just like Trump's supposed tax reform coupled with increased spending, someone, sooner or later, will be faced with paying the piper. (our children?)
...Trump's master tax plan does not make this known for obvious reasons...it's strictly a case of political gymnastics that were concocted in order to temporarily pacify the sheep that continually gorge themselves on his BS.

Thats the problem I have with big government, their answer is always more taxes and continued high cost bureaucracy.
We waste more money on unnecessary gov agency spending, and laws that only impede growth, there is room for lower cost, as a percentage of maintaining an effective government.
Plus if we can keep people in high places from shipping palettes of billions to our adversaries, maybe we could fix some bridges. What a under the table scandal, but probably advise the American people are ti stupid to figure out.
Regardless of what government we have they need to be accountable for fiscal responsibility and overall good management.
This has not been the case in the past or even now.
