Hmm, hired to run in the general election, anyway. Not sure that job pays real well. In fact, it really isn't clear how Trump is going to fund his campaign. It's pretty clear he won't spend much of his own money. Most of the major Republican donors aren't interested in him. And he doesn't inspire, so far, lots of small donors. He'll still get lots of free airtime - but so will his opponent. barfo
His campaign hasn't been typical in all ways. Including the need to spend vast sums of money. https://www.opensecrets.org/pres16/candidate.php?id=N00023864 Compared to Jeb Bush: Or Cruz: Or oh, my, look at all the people Hiliar owes favors: You obviously like the best candidate money can buy.
Yes, so expect that $36M to be paid back out of whatever general election cash he can raise. Maybe the strategy will be to spend nothing and whine about how much is spent against him. Not sure that is going to be a winning strategy, but we'll see. I guess maybe he'll accept public financing? I can see him doing that if he's going to be cash-poor anyway. barfo
These are all the reasons I would pick her, esp. #1. This year really will be the lesser of two evils.
Trump fever is spreading! http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-04-...te-rodrigo-duterte-vows-murder-pardon/7365436
That is just awesome. Can we get that guy instead of Trump? I think I like him better. His hands aren't as small. barfo
1) Because the money would still be spent if the U.S. moved its military units back to domestic bases from those forward bases. 2) Because in exchange, America gets favorable trade agreements, the value of which are not included in your military-only numbers. 3) Because each base and embassy contains a den of spies. Without the bases, the CIA would have to spend more.
Trump has promised to appoint justices that are approved by an anti-gay anti-woman organization. Vote for Trump and you're voting against my rights and the rights of women. I mean, Jesus Christ, he thinks women should be punished for having abortions.
I'm not going to vote for him. Not even tempted. That said... He didn't say women should be punished for having abortions. He was asked a hypothetical question. Donald Trump would liberalize the Republican Party platform on abortion (VIDEO) On gay rights and marriage: https://ballotpedia.org/2016_presidential_candidates_on_gay_rights#Donald_Trump In an interview on April 21, 2016, Donald Trump said that North Carolina erred when it passed a bill restricting transgender individuals’ access to bathrooms that conform with their gender identity. “North Carolina did something that was very strong and they’re paying a big price. There’s a lot of problems. You leave it the way it is. There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom they feel is appropriate, there has been so little trouble, and the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife, and the economic punishment that they’re taking,” Trump said. He added that he would be comfortable with transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner using whichever bathroom she chose in Trump Tower. Conservatives question Trump's qualifications over comments like these he's made: “The decision has been made, and that’s the law of the land,” Trump says in one interview, referring to the Obergefell v. Hodges Supreme Court case that legalized gay marriage last year. “It’s a conversation that more and more people are having, and anything can happen,” he says in another clip.
If you think normal politicians don't "screw up," as you claimed, I got an igloo to sell you in Arizona
Typical Alinsky tactics by Chris Matthews. Attack something that will never happen. A hypothetical question, where Trump answered logically. It's the main reason why so many think the pro-lifers are whacko. Logically, if abortion is banned, the mother would be punished. The good thing is this election isn't about abortion or gay rights. Those battles have already been won. The current election is about bringing back jobs, safety and destroying political correctness.
What's really freaking out the progressives is how vast the Trump Train reach is. There are gays, minorities, evangelicals, atheists, blue collar, white collar, right and left. Why? Because it's about "America First" not party ideology or social issues.
This might be OK if we all chipped in to pay for the NATO missions, like Bosnia and Afghanistan. We're paying EXTRA $trillions (by your own "figuring") for that.
I'm on my phone, so I can't look it up. I remember seeing a graph where almost 60% of the NATO allies aren't even paying their 2% of GDP that was pledged.
CBS http://www.cbsnews.com/news/yes-trump-can-beat-hillary-clinton/ Trump can beat Hillary Clinton What happens when Trump, after Hillary inevitably accuses him of sexism, says that Bill is a rapist, a serial assaulter of women, and that she is his enabler? What happens when he incorporates this into his stump speech? The upside, if you can call it that, to Trump's refusal to act "presidential" is that he is the only candidate who will go that far. Trump, and Trump alone, is the only candidate who would not only resurrect all the Clinton sex scandals, but make them a centerpiece of his campaign. Actually, it's not funny. Rape is a serious matter.
