Yeah I'm not one to gobble up conspiracy theories, but this David Hogg shit is weird. Why is he being interviewed by every network on television? And when he's not fumbling his words like gomer Pyle he is speaking eloquently about gun control measures we should enact. Im not saying this shooting didn't happen, but at the end of the day I wouldn't put it past the shitty media in this country to hire actors to hammer their point home. Most of the other kids interviewed seemed genuine, but he did not at all. His other news interviews from California add to the intrigue. Like I said, not into conspiracy shit but when like ten things don't add up you kind of have to raise an eyebrow at least.

That's what I mean, it doesn't make sense for him to talk the way he did about it. It wasn't normal. I obviously don't believe the whole thing is fake but the media has done this before so I wouldn't put it past them in this situation

Okay well that explains alot. I just thought it was weird the way he carries himself. But, if he's using this as an opportunity to hone his journalism chops then I guess me thinking his behavior was weird is not unfounded. Most high school seniors aren't seizing these types of opportunities to get their name out there. Makes sense now tho at least.

So the kid fucked up and then wanted to get what he said right. I remember one time I was in Medford coming out of Fred Meyers, boom, reporter and camera in my face. The reporter asked me something about some local toy store that closed, I said something about being from Portland and that's really too bad, people should support local businesses especially during Christmas, that's one of the reasons I like places like Medford, yadda yadda yadda (this was December.) The reporter says that was great! Even I was impressed with the stream of BS that just flowed off my tongue, lol. Then she turned to the cameraman and asked if he got it. Nope. So she asked me to say it again. I tried 3x times, never as good as the first take that wasn't on camera but I finally stumbled through it.

You can find a 1000 blooper reels on the internet of professionals fucking up a simple line over and over. And they're professionals. Just not seeing a giant conspiracy here and it's fucked how people are now demonizing this kid. (Not saying anyone here is demonizing him, just seeing some hateful shit on facebook.)

At one point it seems like he whispers a line to himself, that's why it sounds and looks different than just a fuck up or two. I could be wrong but at first listen, it's just weird

I'm sorry, this shit is really killing me. My son was in kindergarten when Newtown happened. There were 20 kids in his class. They were all 5 and 6 years old.... Same age as him... The parallels... It fucks me up every time I think about it...

Then muthafuckas wanna act like this is fake...

@Jade Falcon comes in here and pushes some narrative that he found in some trash bin and wants to believe that CNN is fake news...

    THAT KID IS A VICTIM...
    He's not perpetrating some lie...
People he knew were killed in front of him...

YOU stop perpetrating the lie! The fake news...

    That shit ain't cool...

Florida lawmaker's aide fired after claiming shooting survivors were 'actors'

A Florida state lawmaker’s aide was fired late Tuesday, hours after he claimed two survivors of last week’s school shooting in Parkland, Fla., who had appeared on television were actors.

Benjamin Kelly, an aide to state Rep. Shawn Harrison (R), emailed a Tampa Bay Times reporter after students Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg appeared on CNN to call for legislation to curb gun violence.

According to Tampa Bay Times reporter Alex Leary, the staffer emailed him, saying, "Both kids in the picture are not students here but actors that travel to various crisis when they happen."

The comments drew condemnation from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), as well as Harrison, who said the comments did not reflect his views and that Kelly had been placed on leave.

About an hour later, Florida House Speaker Richard Corcoran (R) tweeted that he fired Kelly.

“On behalf of the entire Florida House, I sincerely apologize to the students targeted and again commend them for their courage through this unspeakable tragedy,” Corcoran tweeted.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Kelly himself later tweeted that his comments should not reflect on Harrison, and that he had erred in trying to “inform a reporter.”

“I meant no disrespect to the students or parents of Parkland,” wrote Kelly, who later on Tuesday appeared to change his Twitter setting so that his tweets were made private.
