biden has not inspired me whatsoever. he was LAST on my list of dems in the primaries.

but i can very obviously realize the best of the worst when compared with trump. third party votes and random write ins for Bernie are what caused us this mess in 2016. hoping the majority of people who are stuck on the fence can compromise and end up picking a candidate they most closely agree with (even if it's not fully there).

this is 100% a result of our two party system or not having ranked choice voting, but those things aren't changing anytime soon.

Not a bad idea. At least if she ever said, "let them eat cake", people would be happy as long as she baked it.

why? in what way is your life better now than it was 4 yrs ago? And WTF has trump done to facilitate that?

220k people are dead. 20 million americans lost their jobs. we are in even more debt than we were after 2008. americans are BANNED from traveling to multiple developed nations. we are the laughing stock of much of the world.

People need to stop looking at the Dow when assessing how life is better now. newsflash: jeff bezos' net worth will do nothing for you.

Joe gave the honest answer....not a partisan exaggerrated bullshit answer....Trump supporters are usually shocked when people have actual convictions about their value systems....Joe is right...if you think America is better today than under 8 years of Obama...you probably would vote the incumbent. That would also mean you are very, very wealthy more than likely and don't rely on retail profits to survive the economic climate and global warming weather patterns. It would be a very self centered vote but that's your choice.

I didn't call you juvenile....I called your incessant 'both-sides-suck' political argument juvenile. But maybe naive would be a better label

and I'll say again: in a less than perfect world, matters of degree make all the difference.

@Road Ratt's viewpoint was called useless and juvenile and HE'S the problem? IMO the problem is people being unable to have respectful dialogue and acting as if they have two mouths and one ear.

Dude, we gave very respectful answers, citing our life’s experiences and making it exceedingly clear we weren’t trying to be patronizing. Did you actually read @Road Ratt’s answer? If anyone is being patronizing and refusing to have a reasonable discussion, it’s RR. I mean, this is the guy who has made posts blaming Boomers for all that is bad in the world. His mind is made up. He has no ears. Just the certainty of youth. Been there, done that, seen it. It’s a dead end.

I like Mags and always have. Like several others in here, I can disagree with his politics and still like him as a person. You should meet his mom because she is very impressive.

Joe Biden's remarks after he got off his phone call with Warren Buffet.::
”We have to refuse to postpone what America has to do, the work we have to do. There’s nothing beyond our capacity, for God’s sake. Just got off the phone with Warren Buffett and talking about how we have position unlike we were 50, 70, 80 years ago to lead the whole damn world in a way that no one else can. There’s no limit to America’s future,” Biden said during a virtual fundraiser.

I was the one who said, from my perspective, the both-sides-suck-so never-either was useless and juvenile. I later semi-amended juvenile to naive. RR has made dozens of posts advancing that particular political argument. When I make political arguments here, people are free to label them however they want. I'm prepared to defend my arguments, and I generally have thick enough skin not to get my shit in an uproar when the labels thrown my direction are dismissive

people are free to say the choices for president suck so much that it boils down to a lesser-of-two-evils choice they won't participate in. That's exactly what happened in 2016, and it helped generate the disaster of the last 4 years. So fuck no, I don't respect the position of both-sides-suck. I think the stakes are high enough that playing nice is not always worthwhile

Well, if were truly sure of himself, I don't see him making a trite response like, "Well, if they don't approve of me, then they shouldn't vote for me." Or anything of that nature.

IMO, he'd be much better off telling the reporter WHY they should be voting for him. Plus, it would be a great sound bite.

When you trot out stuff like this, see, this is the road to all the likes. I just knew I was doing something wrong. I suppose I should care more.

notice how he decided to still not tell anyone how HIS life is better now than it was 4 yrs ago.

No leg to stand on. No substance.

he's a fraud and we all know it.
