    The race thought occurred to me, but oddly enough I (a white guy) was initially picturing the kids as white, and then thought that I hope the kids are neither black nor mexican so that the race issue would be less likely to be made a major part of the discussion.

    I think the first five posts in this thread were where I would hope this discussion would center--how to deal with pre-pubescent violent offenders, as well as what societal factors contribute to such an event.

    The 11-year old has had prior run-ins with the law, including just days before this incident.

    11? It's clear he can't be rehabilitated, and he's giving the wrong impressionable youth. He can't be saved. He should be given a life sentence, at least.

    WTF are wrong with dude's parents? Seriously? I'd be so embarrassed, I'd at least figure a way to send him to a disciplinary school. Help make your child a functional part of society rather than a detrimental and dysfunctional piece of shit.

    Just sayin'.

    That's harassment. I would sue the shit out of his parents. Normally I'm not the lawsuit type, but these people need to be punished and if the law won't do it, maybe the civil courts will. Seriously though, how are these children still in the custody of their parents? Get the state involved for fucks sake.
