I'm reminded of the story: KG was at a draft workout for 13 teams. Ballhandling, shooting, etc. He rolled in, stretched his quads a couple of times by pulling on his foot, and announced he was ready to go. Nervous, he couldn't do much of anything well. Scouts started leaving. KG was feeling really bad about himself. McHale had one of his assistants place a quarter on top of the backboard. "Go get it", McHale said. KG did, and the rest is history. KG was projected at mid-1st round....not even lottery. And McHale picked him in part b/c he pulled a quarter off the top of a backboard. That's thinking outside the box, ladies and germs.
Well, the good news is as long as McHale is involved with Minnesota, they'll never go anywhere. I hope he signs a 10-year extension.
