i mean he won 10 out of all 10 games he played in.</div>

The team won 10 of the 10 games hes played in....to say he won them is disrepectful to all the players that give so much of themselves to make him successful....Hes been impressive....but not nearly as impressive as the media makes him out to be....a lot of QBs would be 10 for 10 on that team....</div>

Ben has orchestrated 3 comeback 4th quarter victories, won 4 games without Burress, and 3 without Staley. The guys a bit more than a caretaker for the offense. Is he winning the games on his own? No, but would Peyton Manning win games without Harrison or Wayne and without James? Good quarterbacks don't win games without support. The defense didn't play it's best game last night and we couldn't run the ball. So who was the catalyzt? It was certainly a team effort, but Roethlisberger is no Trent Dilfer (Baltimore Super Bowl).

With that being said, he's still a rookie, but not typical and not quite the guy that "Needs to make no mistakes". Conservative yes, but don't take away what he's accomplished and will accomplish.

Lots of QB's lose thier #2 reciever, and Randel-el is more than a competent replacement. so not much drop off. Staley goes down and bettis comes in who is a hall of famer. He still only lead team to 17 points yesterday. He is going to be very good, he just isnt yet. The team is the best team in league, he jsut isnt in top 15 yet.

I hear the arguements, but maybe I have Eagleitis...

Troy Aikman was never a great QB, but he played with such a great team around him that he looked like a great QB. Roethlisberger could have Favre-like or Manning-like seasons if he was used in that type of system. They don't need him to throw the ball 40 times a game (which is a good thing), but I'm not sure he couldn't throw for 400 yards and 4 TD's if they needed him to. But I guess it's only speculation on both sides of the arguement.

I'm glad you think Randle El can even be compared to Burress since he's 5'8" in 3" spike heels. But it's not the same. Burress commands attention because he's 6'5". No one will ever double Randle El.

My point is if you had roth throw twice as much, he would throw at least twice as many picks(prolly more) and then his numbers would not be so impressive(not that they are great now) He needs time, like all QBs to adjust to NFL and grow, short of injury he will become very good.

i wasn't being disrespectful. he did win 10 out of 10. and i wasn't saying that HE won the games for the team i just said out of all the games he was in he won. they all won but he won all of the games he was in. don't think about it so much. you thought too much into what i was sayin. he is a big part of them winning though. you can't say that ain't true. if we still had the old QB we would not be winning as much and you know it. thats all i gotta say.

17 points and a win is pretty good against a Jacksonville team that held the Colts' offense to 24 not once, but twice.

I was impressed with his post game interview yesterday...he sounded just like a veteran. When asked about his 10-game winning streak he gave all the credit to the rest of the team.

A lot of things can change over the years, but right now, it looks like Pittsburgh got a real gem.
