<div class="quote_poster">Quoting saad:</div><div class="quote_post">listen to you fools, happy!???!!! with his wages? HES MAKING MORE THAN DOCTORS AND AND PROFESSIONAL JOB! GREEDY!? HES MAKING FREAKING OVER $350,000 , HIS STINGY *** BETTER NOT BE COMPLAINING, HE GETS PAID TO PLAY A LITTLE KIDS SPORT...</div>

A little kids sport? I don't know many 6'8 kids, and I've never heard of just an ordinary kid that can compete at the level an NBA player can. Someone who dedicates their life to a sport, and does it very well (such as playing in the NBA), should earn good money. Obviously many people think every single player is overpaid, but considering other players make a lot more than him I'm sure he wants to make more.

If competing at an NBA level is considered a "Little kids sport", how come its so hard to do? Put yourself in his shoes, if you could get remotley close to the talent any NBA player has I'm sure eventually you'd request more money.

First of all, this might as well be monopoly money. Niether you, me, or anyone else in this forum right now could ever imagine having that much money in our lifetimes. But who ever said it's "ok to just play for the money"?? What I said was that of course I would take 65 million dollars if someone wanted to drop it in my lap, and I think what Accord is saying is essentially the same thing. I guess that makes us dumb huh? Okay, whatever man.

My point about Odom was that he could have taken less to play for his original team. I'm trying to say that even if he took the 32 million the Clippers offered he could have played his way to a bigger deal the next time around. I personally would have signed with the team that supported me through difficult times, but some guys don't think about it that way. They look for the biggest stack and they grab it, I may not agree with it, but how can I blame them for it? As far as Haslem goes, what did the guy say that pissed you off so badly? He sounds like a humble individual who's grateful to be making the money he is for playing the game. If he continues to play well, he'll probably make more - I didn't hear him say that anyone owed him anything. By the way: nobody here is insulting you or taking jabs, so if you feel it's necessary to attack others, pack it up and kick rocks. That's not what this is about. You can make your point much more intelligently without the BS.

    Saad r u jealous?
i know the athletes make a lot of money but they get paid because they can...who are you or me or anyone to judge that?
And i heard a friend who plays in minor league that athletes need to take care of their body so they need more money and better food than normal people. And dont forget, their time ends earlier than doctors or other professional jobs. You dont play until u r 65...u have to get yourself ready for that. Most athletes retire when they are over 35 or so. They have at least one or two spots that are hurting and need doctor's attention(=money)

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting saad:</div><div class="quote_post">if you're not concerned about winning a championship, then why are you here really? you are playing for paychecks and your individual stats for millions of dollars for playing a sport, you people are dumb for saying it's OK to just play for the money, you are to play for a contending team and actually win...you can buy a lot of things with a minimum salary in the pro sports...you stingy idiots...

<font color="blue">One more comment like that and you will be banned. No if's and's or but's about it. Read our rules and apply them to your posting.-dexter</font></div>

lol, i didnt know saying this could get one banned! you stingy idiots meaning the players, this post is about players not the people on this site, read it carefully...the word "you" is referring to the players in the enitre post...if in doubt, read twice and/or read enitre post w/o reading the last phrase and making judgments...thanks dexter!
