What? An ass whooping? That's exactly what he got with Carwin. And he didn't seem to have improved much from it.

Yeah, I don't know if you saw it, but Lesnar won the Carwin fight. That didn't give have much motivation to improve upon his technique. You should try watching these fights before you comment on them.

Is that sportstwo top ten ranking thread still around? Where do you guys rank Cain?

Gotta be behind GSP, Aldo, Silva still. Hard to rank him with Shogun and Edgar both of whom are also coming off title wins. Both of whom beat the champ twice though (still think Rua won the first Lyoto fight). I'd probably put him above those two but I'm not sure if that necessarily makes sense. They all dominated the respective champs and Rua and Edgar did it twice in a row.

Carwin was completely gassed out. And it looked like Brock was as well in the second round. He went for the slowest takedown in the world and got Carwin in a triangle choke to win it. Wow, big fucking deal. What a way to go out after getting beat up all of the first round.

Exactly what I'm saying. He got his ass kicked, but still won. Gave him a lot of naive confidence.

Not sure what a good return fight for Brock might be... rumours swirling that the UFC wants to book Mir/Nog 2 so that takes them out... Gonzaga makes little sense... Carwin/Nelson are booked... maybe Kongo?

Edit: maybe too big a jump in competition for Matt Mitrione but that would be good too.

Now it sounds like the Mir/Lesnar rubber match is most likely, which kind of sucks.

Matt Hughes says bye bye to Tito Ortiz on his website...

Anyone think Tito gets one more shot in the UFC?

Hamill's next fight will be against a top 10 LHW.

Tito isn't retiring and the UFC won't let him go. Expect to see Ortiz/Liddell III soon.

The UFC knows Tito is a brand name and they won't let Strikeforce or another promotion use that, even if the guy hasn't won in five fights. They'd rather have him and guys like Liddell, Couture, etc. on standby.

I figured Liddell/Ortiz III would happen. Liddell retires win or lose.

Tito gets cut if he loses, I bet. Is he really still a brand name?
