    Diaz dominated that fight. Guy has a hell of a jab.

    Tried to stay up till like 6 AM here to watch the fights but I faded out during the end of Huges-Kos and again for the end of Rampage/Jones. Anyone got .gifs of the finishes?

    Re: UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage (Sep. 24th)

    Impressed with:

    -- Nate Diaz, who had his best performance as a professional;
    -- Jon Jones, who put on an Anderson Silva-esque show that was patient, methodical, and ultimately perfect, if a bit subdued for his typical style;
    -- Tony Ferguson, who's polearm reach and boxing are going to give most lightweights fits;

    Unimpressed with:

    -- Rampage Jackson, who had no discernible game plan other than to chase and swing wildly, and who complained to the ref all fight;
    -- Mark Hunt & Ben Rothwell, who couldn't go the full fifteen minutes despite their advanced experience;
    -- Takanori Gomi, who would be out of the UFC if UFC Japan wasn't coming up, given his 1-3 UFC record (all finishes);
    -- Nick Ring, who has skills as a fighter but is stiff and uncreative;
    -- Joe Silva, for putting so many squash matches on the PPV card;
    -- Jon Jones, for putting his fingers in Rampage's eyes, foot-stomping, tumbling Rampage after the bell, and crawling around disrespectfully;
    -- Matt Hughes, for moonlighting as a boxer despite getting knocked out four times in his last five losses.

    Rampage wants to fight Shogun in Japan but Shogun is already booked to fight Hendo in San Jose.

    Why not Rampage-Forrest 2?

    Makes sense for both fighters but its two guys who've lost their edge. Rampage isn't finishing anyone anymore, Forrest admitted that fighting isn't fun for him any more and it is apparent in his fights. Seems like Page wanted Shogun not only for the revenge factor but also because it would be a great Pride throwback fight in Japan. Only other Pride vet I can think of at 205 is Lil Nog. I believe hes booked to fight Tito.

    Hughes getting to the Liddell/Wandy territory where Dana is going to have to make him stop fighting if he gets KOed again next fight. Granted his last two fights were against some of the top WWs.

    I won't post the video so as not to support him, but Steven Seagal was in the house and was interviewed by Ariel Helwani following the fights. Despite not training Jones and only considering himself "sort-of a friend", Seagal still managed to take credit for Jones' win by saying he did "everything I told him to do" and criticized Jones' front kicks as imperfect (requiring Seagal's fine-tuning).

    Have to give Jones credit for banning this guy from the dressing room prior to the bout. He is an enormous egomaniac who, at least to me, is more of a foolish character than a revered one in the eyes of soon-to-be millions of new casual fans (thanks to the FOX deal).

    Nate Diaz is perturbed that Melvin Guillard and Clay Guida are in the title picture when he beat Guillard and (in his mind) Guida (who hugged him to death).

    Who do you guys want to see him fight next?

    Some support behind Diaz vs. Jim Miller building online.
