DFW is sure that the PPV did better than 750k buys making it one of their most successful in recent years.

If Meltzer reports otherwise expect another spat.

Lombo apparently had bronchitis which could explain why he was a bit plodding in his fight with Burkman.

    UFC 71: Chuck Liddell ($500,000) - L, Quinton Jackson

Good to see the base pay for champions not changing since 2007...

DC brought the fight for the first 2.5 rounds, but those body shots wore him down. Brilliant game plan for Jones. I can't stand the guy, but he did it right. Hats off to him...I hope Gus beats him (again!) after he beats Rumble.

Let down of a card. Over saturation hurts the UFC again. A fighter of Myles Jury's caliber would never co-main event a card 4-5 years ago.

And yeah, I was not impressed by Lombard at all, really. Like I said, I think he loses to Lawler, Hendricks, Rory, and maybe even Matt Brown.

Cowboy Cerone needs to be paid more thatn $70K per fight. dude puts on good fights, fights often and wins a lot. Not sure if he ever holds the title, but I still want to see every fight he is in.

Jones was damned impressive. I'd have liked to have seen him pour it on a bit and try and win but the UFC has made is such that winning is more important than going for the finish so it's better to play it smart and fight safe if you're ahead.
