If it was Cerrone it'd have to be a catch weight at like 160, right? You can't expect Cerrone to cut that much weight in two weeks?

I don't think it will be Diaz. That's a fight they can build for months.

I think cerrone gets his head knocked clean off by conor.

But that's probably the fight it will be.

What's in it for conor though? He's a company man and all, but a loss could hurt his aura against a fill in. So do they bump his Ppv take? Or to the chagrin of many others, do they make it for an undeserved at this time interim belt

Supposedly aldo said a few weeks ago he was training just in case someone pulled out?

I think he needs more time, but could he end up being the replacement?

^ At 155? That'd be interesting. Then Aldo would pull out a day before with staph or something.

I really hope they make it aldo - McGregor for an interim lightweight belt.

Aldo gets his wish of a rematch for a title, and McGregor knocks him out again.

Problem would be, if aldo won, would he be willing to fight rda in a unification bout?

On the bright side, McGregor rda will probably be booked for ufc 200.

Pettis is throwing his name into the ring. Yes, please.

News coming out that rda knew his foot was broken last Friday.

Dana offered the fight to aldo and he turned it down. Said he wasn't ready. I don't blamehim

Khabib offered to fight conor and ufc said no. Was it because they are protecting conor from getting smothered? Or because they can't trust Mr. Glass even on two weeks notice to not get injured?

My guess is a little bit of both.

Update from From Kevin Iole at Yahoo sports a few minutes ago, who stated he's spoke to Dana White today

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mma-c...ith-conor-mcgregor-appears-off-144511423.html

    Extract

"When we told Conor, he said, 'Come on! This [expletive] guy! Oh my God! He's pulling out?' " White said. "But when we went through the options, he said he'd fight any of them.

"I swear to God, he said, 'I'll fight anyone.' He just doesn't give a [expletive]. People talk about this strained relationship between us and Conor, and he has a different style than I've ever seen, but I have never seen anyone like Conor. The closest was Chuck Liddell, but we've never had one like Conor. You think he's not hurt? But when he says he's going to fight, he's going to fight no matter what."

Rumor going around that its gonna be Nate to fill in. His strength and conditioning coach threw it out there and another person from his camp states that Nate called him and told him that film crews were going to be at the gym throughout the week.

The best thing they can do is stick a camera in Nate's face and keep it there. It's in his nature to be a lunatic and hype up the fight as much as possible.

First question-- when was the last time you smoked? Can you pass the drug test in two weeks?

Nate and his camp turned down the (first?) offer.

No word on whether they agreed to a second or if its even progressed that far yet.

Rumors of Faber now lol if Diaz and cerrone will have weight issues.

Good for Him if true. I don't think he will have a chance, but it would be like the J.O.B. squad led by al snow for you wwe fans

Maybe it's me but it feels like only a slight notch below the original fight. I am very much looking forward to this one.

And it's the main event? Over the title bout?

Man, I've been getting shit on by conor haters since they announced the Diaz fight.

People saying the ufc is protecting him from khabib. But, khabib hasn't fought in two years. It doesn't make sense from a business standpoint to put in a guy that hasn't fought I n two years and could get reinjured even if it's 9 days away.

Then they are saying he took the cheap way out in Diaz over cerrone.

Diaz will bring great shit talking to the event. Should be interesting. I wish it was nick instead of nate, but either diaz will be entertaining.

Also find it funny aldo said he would fight conor anytime anyplace to whoop his ass, then turned down the fight when offered to him. I get it, you haven't been training for long, and you want a full camp, but don't say that if you're not willing to back it up. Kinda makes you look like a bitch.

Frankie Edgar is furious with DW & the UFC. They offered him the fight and he told them he had a torn groin and sent MRI's. However DW insinuated that Edgar just didn't want the fight.

Feeling like Edgar will ride out his contract and go.

Makes you think Dana is done with Edgar. He has gotten kinda shoved to the side. Dude has had quite a few awesome.big fights though.

He's in the Urijah Faber category of being too good to be a gatekeeper but not good enough to be champion in three weight classes.

I would like to see him fight Dom Cruz at 135 but I think he has too much pride to drop down again.
