    I kind of love this idea. Let Jones test the HW waters. Maybe give him a little notion that he could be the HW champ. More prestigious, no? I mean, he's cleared out LHW.

    Three days ago the Blackzillians camp brashly announced that Rumble was ready to step in if JJ couldn't fight.

    When DC backed out, Anthony Johnson "just had dental surgery, can't put a mouth guard in."

    Yeah, I don't buy the dental surgery explanation.

    It's like wtf? You have a chance at the title and a "dental surgery" is gonna stop you from fighting?

    He has three weeks to heal up. And just posted a pic of him training hard a few days ago.

    Smh at these guys saying they want a fight, then turning it down when they said they've been training to step in.

    DC's injury won't require surgery but he will be out until August/September meaning no UFC 200 but possible for the big MSG show.

    If the book the MSG for September that would be a great scenario for them. JJ/DC already have so much heat. Although Jones is from upstate he would still be an ideal headliner for the show no matter the undercard.

    They are probably worried that with DC out they will start to lose the more casual fans. This way they can still claim it is a "title" fight.
