    Some thoughts...

Didn't see the first three Fight Pass prelims. Looks like they all ended in KO's. Shame. I'm still not subscribing until they add live PPV's.

Super Sage is still super raw. Dude should still be on the indy circuit getting experience. Reminded me of Dan Hardy squirming out of deep submissions. Credit to Marin who was brought in to be a bum and showed us something else.

Dillashaw/Assuncao was predictable. Snek has evolved a lot since they last fought. Too much to ask of Assuncao in his return fight. Sorry but I'm not excited to see Cruz/Dillashaw 2 right now.

I thought Johny Hendricks showed a lot of veteran savvy staying competitive in a fight he had no business being competitive in. His counter punching was good. Overall he looked totally drained and is a far cry from the fighter he was just a couple years ago. Gastelum was coming straight ahead 1-2 1-2 1-2 and Hendricks had no answers. Gastelum will get a bump in competition for his next fight but I'm not sure he's ready. Hendricks needs to reevaluate especially if the UFC is going to force him up to middleweight.

Julianna Pena might be a bit of a jerkass but she is tough. Zingano looked like she was going to run through her in the first round. Pena made a case for a title shot and her style could be a good one against Nunes. A Zingano/Tate rematch seems like the obvious match to book after tonight.

The heavyweight division continues to look dubious. Browne is now 2-3 in his last five with his two wins coming against former UFC fighters. Cain Velasquez made him look like a chump. Mark Hunt didn't look good either, failing to commit to his strikes and running out of ideas quickly against Brock. You would think a Velasquez/Lesnar rematch would be next but I think Cain would smash him--plus, Lesnar will be returning to his part-time gig with the WWE and who knows when he'll be ready to fight again? Another year? Feels like we're going to get Velasquez/Werdum again next.

Cormier/Silva was the fight everyone wanted to replace the JJ title fight. Sadly it was the fight everyone expected with Cormier easily controlling Silva on the ground and Silva holding back on the feet. I get that they didn't need to mention the fact Silva's coming off his own lengthy steroid suspension but the praise they heaped on him was in bad taste, right? Or am I overreacting? The guy was JUST suspended for exactly what they are bashing Jones for. The fact he's back fighting is more to do with him getting in before USADA and not the severity of his cheating. He'd be out another couple years otherwise. In any case Cormier was apologetic afterwards saying he needed the win by any means necessary. He kinda didn't but w/e. Odd fight. Silva should be fighting guys who don't give a shit about losing. Then again Silva is very conservative anyways...

Main event was marked by a spectacular performance by Amanda Nunes. She broke Miesha Tate's nose early and Tate couldn't recompose herself. I was weary of Nunes choosing to grapple with Tate towards the end of the first round when she was battering her on the feet but she sensed the victory was there. Didn't take long for Nunes to get her back and finish her with a mostly across the chin RNC. Tate has been praised for her heart but this was not a showcase of that tonight. Nunes/Pena makes sense and is kind of their only option at the moment. I don't think anyone is stumping for Sarah McMann to get a shot.

Overall the event did have a big atmosphere which was nice. I wonder when Zuffa will pass the torch? No mention of it tonight.

    What a horrible fucking card.

Cain was the best part of this card. That is the Cain that will dominate this HW division. That performance leads me to believe his performance against Werdum was a farce.

Please stay healthy Cain, you could rule the HW division.

Haven't seen the Brock fight yet, but good to see him come in and dominate. Hunt was 10/90 in strikes. Brutal.

Aldo/Edgar? Frankie is officially gate keeper status. Me thinks Conor will fight Aldo at the NYC card.

Tate got slaughtered. She wasn't a deserving champion anyways, IMO.

DC..man I feel for the guy. He just doesn't have that public appeal. He had a chance tonight to win a shit ton of fans but chose to fight safe with Spider, which was disappointing.

The real loser tonight was DFW. Why did he pull Conor? Why didn't he give Gusto the fight? Gusto was in attendance and posted on Instagram that he was there and in fighting shape. Horrible card management by DFW.

Lesnar earned $2.5-million for his one-off appearance.

DC reportedly goes from earning $1-million guaranteed to $500,000.

Scarface is wearing a purple suit with a purple shirt and purple tie. Gold chain. Looks like a Cuban assassin.

I didn't mention the Aldo/Edgar fight but it was a classy performance by Aldo. Even without kicks and mostly moving backward he shut down Edgar and did much more damage. Probably the most conservative fight we've seen him put on and he still looked dominant. McGregor has his hands full but it might be a long time before we see that rematch. Edgar should consider 135 or else like Mamba said he's just going to be a cooler for that division, killing contenders without having a chance at the belt himself.

Tyler the Snek's 25/25 contract is embarrassing. Renegotiate that shit, man.
