Tony and Conor are effectively stripped. Tony is complaining about it. Not sure we ever got word that Conor was, just that he would be.

So Khabib is walking around with an unrespectable belt. Is this an AKA thing? Cormier first; now Khabib?

Just come out and say it Dana...if Conor wants to fight again; he'll have to fight Khabib for the title or Nate for the money. Can't have both.

Tony has no room to talk though; as he is out for 6-12 months. Still; even if it was a show case; not impressed by Khabib's win at all. Should have been over in round 3.

Thats what I've been reading. The ligament didn't just tear; it separated from the bone. Factor in surgery + rehab + a training camp you're looking at a minimum of 6 months if everything goes to plan.

Khabib won't fight again until November. Maybe do Conor vs Nate III and Khabib vs Tony; winners match up against each other?

"I thought I did enough to win" is one of the UFC's worst clichés. Especially in a championship fight. You better go out there and dominate if you want the strap.

One of the things Dana has always said that I agree with is if you leave it in the hands of the judges anything can happen. Now obviously we can all tell when someone catches a beat down most of the fight but is tough as nails and stays in the fight like Glover Teixeira vs Alexander Gustafsson. In JJ's case she left a close fight in the hands of the judges and that means she did not do enough to win.

JJ is reminding me of Aldo, similar age in their careers when they got knocked out and wouldn't let it go.

TBH I don't think JJ is the same fighter anymore, you can tell how much the first loss affected her.

JJ is mentally broken, I think.
