Great card capped off by a stinker from Adesanya. I don't know what it is about him; he's got so much potential to be an all time fan favorite but he lacks the aggression and killer instinct. He fights so safe and then gets pissed that he gets booed. I"m hoping Poatan puts his lights out. That stoppage of Strickland was filthy.

As for Volk; he is the FW Goat unquestionable. Looking back at Holloway's title run, I still feel its overrated. He has a solid win over Ortega and two wins over a on the downslide Jose Aldo. Max is very exciting but I feel he should contemplate retirement. He's taken so much damage over his career, he doesn't spar anymore; he's never going to beat Volk and he's not strong enough for 155. Save our brain, dude.

It's hard to finish top contenders but nine decisions in his last twelve fights is a bit shocking. GSP-esque.

I didn't follow the build-up to this fight but why was Max given a second rematch after losing the first two fights? Was the fight in 2020 that close? I kinda recall the split being criticized and people thinking AV should've won unanimously.

Just saw this. The first fight Volk clearly won. The 2nd fight Max clearly won the first two rounds; after that I personally feel Volk took 3,4, 5 but it was way closer than the first fight. Max is the fan friendly fighter and a UFC icon so a lot of people felt Volk was given a favor. I personally scored both for Volk.
