Very impressed with Melvin Guillard. He is still very suspect on the mat but his striking is superb. If his blackleticism can keep him off the ground he is good enough to strike with pretty much any lightweight.
I think he is the best striker in the LW division. His power + speed puts him above Frankie in terms of boxing abilities, IMO. I've got a feeling this dude is going to have a title shot by the end of the year.
If they hadn't already booked that silly match between Pettis & Guida we could see Pettis vs. Guillard. Then we'd know who the best LW striker is. Pettis likes to dive in for subs though so maybe it wouldn't play out like that...
Man, this thing had so many fucking commercials that I had to give up watching it cause it was pissing me off. Kinda regret it now cause I missed two KO's, oh well maybe they'll reshow it before the superbowl card.
Yeah I'm sick of the UFN's. There are just too many damn commercials. I think from now on I'm just going to start recording them.
Tim Hague has been cut from the UFC roster again. He had just signed a new four-fight contract with the promotion prior to being handled by Matt Mitrione. His performance vs. Mitrione was lackluster to say the least so it really isn't a surprise the UFC has let him go.
Amilcar Alves is the second fighter cut following his loss at FFTT2. I don't think I ever saw him fight.
