Man, great fight right there. Cruz deserves this victory. Love it that he won. I thought for sure it would be a ref screwjob. Agreed with 49-47 score for Cruz speeds. No idea how one judge had it in tjs favor that much.

The snake in the grass lost. Justice is served.

Eddie Alvarez is boring as fuck. Hate that guy. Pettis continues to get exposed by people laying and praying on him.

With Aldo's demise Cruz has a case for greatest fighter under 155.

Some judges start out with the notion that the champion doesn't need to win--the challenger does, and overwhelmingly so, to get the decision. Anything close goes to the title holder. Old school boxing mentality. The ten-point-must system is not well suited to MMA and needs to go. If that means revising the way the fights are split up into rounds so be it.

Super excited to see Cruz out for nine months with a broken metatarsal. :P

Cruz/Assuncao should be next but it's been so long since we've seen Assuncao fight. If only the UFC had an undefeated bantamweight with no previous title shots they could throw in there in the meantime...

    If only...

Not that I'm obviously right but Dave Ginsberg and I scored the fight almost the same. Tony Weeks gave round four to Cruz. Sal D'Amato gave almost every round to Killashaw. The three judges only agreed on one round (2 to Cruz). No consistency.

    Fights to make...

Cruz/Assuncao - Assuncao has been waiting for his title shot. If both are healthy the time is right.
    Dillashaw/Faber - goes without saying.
Alvarez/Diaz - Nurmagomedov and Ferguson have better claims to title shots right now. Good contrast of styles.
Pettis/Barboza - all kinds of yes in this one.
Browne/Hunto - battle of the Islanders.
Mitrione/Struve - both of these guys need a win.
Trinaldo/Dariush - two lightweights on their way up, good test for Dariush.
Pearson/Michael Johnson - surprised this hasn't happened already.
Cote/Story - similar styles, could be a banger
Saunders/Gunni Nelson - interesting BJJ and stand-up style contrast for both
