Event UFC Fight Night 96: Lineker vs. Dodson [Results]

I saw most of Fili/Dias and that was a great fight. Shame that Dias missed weight. Did it cost Fili a fight of the night bonus? They opted to give it to Blaydes/Silva.

Smolka looked great against Ben Nguyen and did look well on his way to fighting for a title. The finish was a little unclear to me but Smolka didn't challenge it. Moreno made the most of an opportunity and picked up a bonus, too. Happy for him.

Josh Burkman's return to the UFC has been a disaster.

Brooks/Oliveira was a great fight but I think now people will regard Brooks as lacking heart. We'll find out this week how badly he was injured. Oliveira's antics were disappointing. He was insulted? It's the fight game. You missed weight, you are unprofessional, suck it up. Childish.

Dodson claims he was "Carlos Condit" to John Lineker's "Robbie Lawler". I don't think anyone can fault his strategy but he should've engaged more, tried other things. It was a close fight. I doubt many people will be crying foul.

 

Didn't bother to even record this event. I can't stand Jon Dodson.
