That is what I found out, too. My attributes are rather low, but strength speed and cardio are high. I'm on the next level up. I'm thinking about starting a HW career at beginner just to work on my ground game.
Yeah my ground game sucks, I've started working on it on beginner... finally got my first sub today, Demian Maia with a N/S choke
I also noticed the attributes aren't too important. It's more important to build up your cardio and then take advantage of camp invites. The difference between the way I was fighting as a level one kickboxer and then how I fared as a level two and three kickboxer was night and day. Also, is there any point to the email system? Holy shit that is annoying. What a pointless exercise. Why not just have a ranking page that gets updated after every event? The menus and navigation are horrible. The fighting is fun, though. I've managed to work my way up to become the LHW champ. I'm on a nine-fight streak with KO's over Jardine, Liddell, Jackson, and others. Next fight is against 27-1-1 Rashad Evans.
speeds, what difficulty? I should focus more on my cardio and speed. My strength is good. I'm almost a level 3 boxer. Still a level 1 BJJ. I suck at BJJ. I should have picked wrestling.
I just Rashad Evans'd Chuck Liddell in my career mode. He went for the superman, but I landed the right hook before!
Agree I also think it's pretty stupid that they couldn't just make it so as the time progresses your guy ages. It's pretty unrealistic for my fighter to be 18 for 4 years.
Default, whatever that is. My BJJ sucks, too. I am still working on getting to level 2. I get like 10 or 20 points per session if I'm lucky. Sometimes I get zero.
My record is 19-5, 19 wins by (T)KO, 5 losses by (T)KO. I've never been to a decision or been able to pull off a submission.
Also, has anyone tried to change the sponsor logos on your shorts? Couldn't they made this process just a little easier?
I did it once, haven't done it since, it's a pain in the ass. Honestly though, it's their first game, so I'm cutting them some slack. I expect next years to hopefully keep the same game play but improve the menus and maybe add a little more depth aside from the 3 modes it has for fights (Career, Classic Fights, Exhibition).
No, I like the game, I'm just saying there is stuff that is just clunky and it disrupts an otherwise great experience. While we're on the topic... some features I'd like to see for the next game: -- arena select (anyone notice MSG in the game?); -- join a training camp (join Black House, train only with Silva, Machida, Cavalcante, etc., never fight teammates); -- many more classic fights (downloadable?); -- Dana White mode (sign fighters, book PPV's with Joe Silva, manage the company, etc.); -- tournaments (including The Ultimate Fighter mode for rookies); -- veteran career mode (play through the career of a veteran fighter fight-by-fight, such as Chuck Liddell); -- double weight-class career mode; -- southpaw stance; -- WEC fighters and weight classes (FW and BW); -- cross-class fights (every fighter should be able to go in two or three classes, save for LW's and HW's); -- import/trade custom characters online (so everyone can have a Fedor); -- deeper create-a-fighter (different celebrations, more names, more styles such as karate and sambo, etc.); -- training mini-games; -- daily training schedule instead of weekly (shouldn't be resting a full week or two before a fight to get stamina back up); -- injuries in training and in career mode; -- break the rules (fence grabbing, nutshots, eye pokes, knees to downed opponent, grabbing shorts, etc.);
Changing sponsors on your shorts is more annoying than building the character, itself. I noticed MSG. That is pretty' fuckin' cool. I think you can change it, speeds. Are you talking about in exhibition mode?
Yeah. When you go into exhibition mode. I think you hit "Y" and it'll give the option for 2, 3, and 5 round matches plus the venue you want to fight at.
