I agree with you on this.
I also would add if we continue to support these products they will continue to become more affordable and even better all around.
I currently drive a Chevy Silverado and I'm hoping the new EV Silverado will be good. I know Ford is working hard to get us there also.
Either way i feel we must continue to support the new technology.

Because in my very amateur assessment of this situation, I think if Russia actually does a tactical/low yield nuke or chemical weapons in Ukraine the USA and Nato will respond. The easiest way for Russia to keep us out of Europe and Ukraine would be to use an EMP strike against us. You take down the entire power grid in North America and our troops are needed here at home to restore and maintain order.

Also an EMP attack IMO does not justify us nuking Russia. So we're living in the stone age for 2-3 years but the world is living too.

Trump calls on Putin to release dirt on Hunter Biden
It’s the latest example of the former president soliciting foreign governments to intervene to damage his domestic political rivals.

Former President Donald Trump in a new interview called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to release information regarding alleged dealings between Eastern European oligarchs and Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son.

Trump’s remarks, in an interview with discredited far-right journalist John Solomon, were published Tuesday by the “Just the News” television show on the Real America’s Voice network.

In making his claims about Hunter Biden, Trump cited the findings of a controversial, highly politicized investigation by Senate Republicans into the Bidens, which was published just weeks before the 2020 election and produced little new evidence of wrongdoing.

Trump has repeatedly promoted dubious claims of foreign business dealings by Hunter Biden, specifically alleging that he received millions of dollars from the wife of Moscow’s late mayor, Yury Luzhkov.

“She gave him $3.5 million so now I would think Putin would know the answer to that. I think he should release it,” Trump said in the interview, conducted at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. “I think we should know that answer.”

Trump failed to mention that he himself sought to do business with Luzhkov’s government in the late 1990s, according to POLITICO. Trump also was pursuing high-profile real estate deals in Russia as recently as 2016, including a proposed Trump Tower Moscow.

Did you happen to buy a faraday bag that's big enough for your whole house?

What did he say that was wrong? I guess I'm just not seeing it. The original take was just cautioning people to be careful about their sources and said that he didn't know for certain what was going on.

I guess I just don't see the problem with it.

Don't worry. The physical impact of any bomb extends further than the EMP.

If an EMP damages your phone you're likely too crispy to care.

    1. A nuclear bomb exploding in the atmosphere can cause an EMP and not irradiate the population.

    2. US, China, and Russia are all working on weapons that cause a strong electromagnetic pulse and are not nuclear weapons.

Yes, but not large enough to cause any damage. The EMP isn't strong enough outside the sphere of the nuclear blast to disable electronic equipment.

Is there any evidence of this working? As far as I've been able to find, they haven't even been able to impact 99% of the cars they've tested these on. And the only one or two which were possibly impacted, had things like turn signal malfunctions.

Seriously, I'd love to read anything about this you may have. I'm very interested in this technology.

The problem is that at the time there were multiple credible sources for the atrocities and he did not fully admit it even 11 years later. In other words, he was the original one to yell fake news when it was not. He subverted the facts to make a point.

    Ever read about Carrington Event.

Here is one article about EMPs- https://mindmatters.ai/2022/03/putin-vs-ukraine-new-weapons-target-your-electronics-not-you/

This one, while it doesn't go into detail says 1 nuke can collapse the entire North American power grid. But there is not a nuke that can irradiate all of North America.

U.S. Prepares to Arrest Surge of Migrants at Southern Border but Welcome 100,000 Ukrainian Refugees.

This seems quite racist to me.

Your own words. One group is migrants and the other is refugees. Do you understand the difference?

But I think he was warning that those sources were possibly being filtered/approved via US agencies first. At least that's how it comes off to me.

I didn't get "fake news" out of anything he said.

What media platform at the time was outside the sphere of US government influence?

I understand that America, as well as the rest of the white richer nations, turn away people of color, while accepting white refugees. Do you get that this policy is racist?

Don't bother, I am just feeding you back your own logic.

If you want to start a conversation by asking if: I am intelligent enough to understand your question, don't bother posting in my direction. I am.

Edit: This goes for everyone, not just the OP. You need to understand one thing. I don't like arguing, but by no fault of my own, I will take on, unknowingly, another persons attitude and feed it back to them. If people want an argument, I will unwillingly oblige them. Short version: crap in my cornflakes, and you get crap back. Simple.

One last thing. At my current level of recovery from the last 2 years, my social skills are crap. So, at this time, it may be very easy for me to miss or misread your intentions. Which will lead to misunderstandings.

If you include fiber as part of a balanced diet, you'll be fine. :)
