For those who say this is an exception, I recommend reading up on how the Russian army behaved in WW2. Even if you dismiss their treatment of German civilians as tit-for-tat, how do you explain their actions in Poland and elsewhere? As in Ukraine they claimed to be liberating people from the Nazis while doubling down on German atrocities against the same victims. What we are seeing today is historically established Russian military policy. If the best argument you have is that other countries have also committed war crimes - you have already lost the debate.
I live in the west coast. Low unemployment. We don't ban books. LGBTQ folks have rights. Good weather. Great food. Problems, sure, but not a hellhole.
Update. It seems this monster had more than one victim. He recorded his crimes (plural) and openly posted them on social media in Russia. Apparently, he planned to sell them on the dark web, but the deal fell thru. He has supposedly been arrested - but it sounds like his crimes were known for some time and the Russian government only acted when the story leaked to the West. BTW, Imgur (source of the above picture) has now removed the story. They are justifying this with a rule about not posting images with gore. Do you see any gore in that picture? Dishonesty and moral cowardice at its finest. Alexey Bychkov. Don't let it be forgotten.
Ironically, Russia drafts men into the army who are considered insufficiently "masculine", possibly gay (not out gay, since that's a crime in Russia, one of the reasons American right likes Putin), with the idea military service will turn them into "real men". Ted Cruz praised the manliness of the Russian army as compared with "woke" US Army.
Sorry folks, but its time NATO/we crush Russian Army/Putin. Their army is way overrated, yeah they have nukes but to allow this to continue and it will as it's pure ass evil and if the world just lets it continue its as evil. To stand by and do nothing besides supply them arms is just watching them die a slow death. And we could very well be cursing ourselves.
Putin has said this is a red line for him. We might soon be in a war with Russia. Report: Sweden and Finland to join NATO over Ukraine invasion Finland and Sweden are set to join NATO as early as this summer, extending the organization’s borders alongside Russia by hundreds of miles, U.S. officials told the British newspaper the Times. Finland is expected to submit its application for membership in June, with Sweden to follow. During talks among the organization's 30 member nations last week, U.S. officials said that NATO membership for the Nordic countries was the “topic of conversation.” Foreign ministers from both Sweden and Finland attended the NATO sessions. How can this be anything but a massive strategic blunder for [Russian President Vladimir] Putin?” a senior American official said in an interview with the Times. Sweden and Finland have turned to NATO as a result of the threat Moscow has posed since it invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24. The Russian military has launched attacks against its neighbor by land, air and sea, and Putin has justified the war by claiming he is acting to “demilitarize” and “de-Nazify” the country. Over the weekend, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said Russia is “not the neighbor we thought it was.” She added: “I think we will have very careful discussions, but we are also not taking any more time than we have to in this process, because the situation is, of course, very severe.” Finland, which shares an 810-mile border with Russia, said it had discussed a possible bid for membership with “almost all” of the organization’s 30 delegates. https://news.yahoo.com/report-sweden-and-finland-to-join-nato-over-ukraine-invasion-173515441.html
If Russia spends 5 years fighting Ukraine they are done as a world power, without us having to directly confront them, which means much lower risk of nuclear winter. It will also weaken China to the point that it may no longer be a world power. We can beat both Russia and China (and possibly bring the middle east to heal) without acting like the "World Police" everybody complains about us being... Just by giving Ukraine the weapons they need to defend themselves. I do think we should figure out how to get them some fighter jets. Without air superiority Russia will be in real trouble.
Yeah, I don't want to be the World Police, but sometimes neighbors and allies have to confront evil. In five years many Ukrainians will die because they are taking on a world power alone. Yeah, we are in a proxy war but unless they have air power its going to be tough for them to survive and rebuild.
It's pretty hilarious that Russia is threatening Finland and Sweden while simultaneously getting their asses beat in Ukraine.
Unfortunately I think many hundreds of millions of people (maybe even a billion) are going to die unnecessarily over the next decade or two if we choose to isolate the way we have for the last few decades... Most will be in Russia, China, the Middle East, and Africa (in no particular order).
Tucker Carlson is telling his viewers that the "supposed" atrocities they see on TV could be faked. He is repeatedly played on Russian state TV.
'Never again will we need the West' Putin unveils new Belarus deal to strengthen alliance VLADIMIR Putin announced a series of new agreements made with Belarus to strengthen Russia's relationship with its allies in a bid to become economically independent from the West. During a joint press conference with Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko, Vladimir Putin insisted he hoped "common sense" over sanctions will prevail across the West. As he took a swipe at Western countries for targeting Russia in the aftermath of his invasion of Ukraine, Putin unveiled a series of new arrangements set to strengthen Russian relations with Minsk. Belarus played a pivotal part in his "special military operation" as Lukashenko authorised the use of his territory to launch the attack on northern Ukraine. Putin suggested that "never again will we need the West" thanks to the new agreement struck with trusted ally Lukashenko. https://www.express.co.uk/news/worl...us-alliance-Russia-Ukraine-invasion-latest-vn
This guy is starting to sound like a Texan. "The US needs Texas but Texas Don't Need No United States."
