Delusional much? "Everyone is envious of us. That's why they attack us. But it only makes us stronger" - Putin last week.
Will Russia increase their troops in spring/summer for another offensive? You think they will target more infrastructure and trying cut off shipping of grain etc.?
good story teller. Wonder if he could tell why USA would do that? https://www.snopes.com/news/2023/02/10/hersh-nord-stream-sabotage/
They have already increased their troops and begun their offensive. There is heavy fighting happening on multiple fronts. The general consensus is that they are not really prepared for this offnsive but being pushed for political reasons. They attacked with 36 missiles last night against infrastructure and a lower percent than usual were shot down. I don't believe that either of the two Patriot anti air systems are operating yet in Ukraine. They are able to delay grain shipments but I think Turkey will not let them stop shipments. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/02/15/politics/russia-offensive-ukraine-western-officials/index.html
Unfotunately it appears that the European tank coalition is backing down from some of their promises which were originally for over 100 Leopard tanks. They are getting another 50 or so from Poland but they are earlier models and reportedly not in good repair. Very short sighted by the Europeans. Still the Bradley fighting vehicles from USA have already been unloaded in European ports and on their way to Ukraine. Day 358. Bodies of 27 dead civilians found in de-occupied Snihurivka. The US-backed report says Russia has held at least 6,000 Ukrainian children for ‘re-education.’ NATO countries boost munitions output, pledge 48 Leopard 2 tanks for Kyiv.
It's so weird how this keeps happening, lol. Top Russian Military Official Dead After Fall From 16th Floor A Russian military official in charge of financial provisions for the military district blamed for the Kremlin’s worst losses in Ukraine has been found dead after a nasty fall from a St. Petersburg high-rise. Marina Yankina, head of the department of financial provisions for the Western Military District, was found dead on a sidewalk on Wednesday morning, according to multiple local reports. She is just the latest in a growing list of Russian military officials, defense industry figures, war critics, and gas and oil execs to die suddenly and mysteriously since the start of the full-scale invasion last year. The 58-year-old’s belongings and documents were found on a balcony on the 16th floor of the building, Mash reports. Russia’s Investigative Committee is looking into the circumstances of the deadly plunge, with their preliminary conclusion being suicide, according to Fontanka. Prior to joining the Western Military District, Yankina worked in the Federal Tax Service. The Western Military District has incurred some of the heaviest losses in Russia’s war against Ukraine—and been blamed for a string of humiliating battlefield losses. Colonel-General Alexander Zhuravlyov was sent packing as commander of the district in October following huge losses in Kharkiv. His successor, Lieutenant-General Roman Berdnikov, was sacked a few months later after lasting less than three months. Colonel-General Sergey Kuzovlev then took the helm, only to be replaced a few weeks later by Lieutenant General Yevgeny Nikiforov. https://www.thedailybeast.com/top-r...arina-yankina-dead-after-fall-from-16th-floor
I swear, I should brush up my Russian and go there selling security window screens. They are badly needed.
Day 359. Russian forces conducted another series of missile strikes on infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine. Russian forces are reportedly increasing their use of airpower. Russian forces continued offensive operations around Bakhmut, along the western outskirts of Donetsk City, and in western Donetsk Oblast. Russia loses 2,000 soldiers for every 100 meters of captured territory in Ukraine https://english.nv.ua/nation/russia...tured-territory-in-ukraine-news-50304848.html
This is why I think it's ok to keep giving ground slowly until russians are totally exhausted. This is a war of attrition right now and russia is losing.
This would get the Russians about 30-35 miles in before they get to 1 million deaths. At that point to they will likely start feeling pressure from the population.
I'm hoping they will feel pressure before then. Right now they are leaving a lot of their dead in the fields or burning in incinerators. At some point people will realize that their loved ones aren't coming home. It has already become acceptable to admit on russian TV that things are going badly and suggest that the war was not a good idea.
I truly hope so as well. But historically that's about when Russia feels pressure from the population. Hoping the internet speeds that connection WAY up
Day 360. Kreminna is the most difficult section in the Luhansk Oblast in Donbas. Wagner Group has suffered over 30,000 casualties in Ukraine–White House. The US would welcome the decision of other countries to provide fighter aircraft to Ukraine.
