What makes you think he doesn't?

    See how that works?

And size is definitely a huge factor. Blakes power wouldn't affect Leonard. It's why women don't fight men. Why lightweights don't fight heavyweights.

It's like those nerds that think mcgregor would beat the mountain in a fight just because he's a trained fighter. His experience would be equalized by the mountains size.

I think you're completely wrong on this. Have you been in many fights? I'm speaking from experience. Hell I remember when UFC didn't use to have weight class.

Yeah. Arguing with you is pretty pointless once you get your mind set. Simply using size as a determining factor in fights is just a failure of logic.

How weird is it that you are a member of this forum? Is it because of strip clubs, meth and heroin? I think that would be weird for a s2 forum member. What is the real reason behind your insistence on being on t his forum?

Well, David got pretty fucking lucky. It's like The Lakers winning one random regular season game last year to GSW. They won but you can't say they are better.

Whereas both Blake and Leonard are avid church boys, so the Almighty would be hanging out in a neutral corner.

Was it weird that Duck, Kersey and several other former Blazers chose to call Portland home after their playing days were over?

Portland has been his off season home since 2005. His kids were born here and go to school here.

Frankly, it would be weird if he didn't live here. Blake and his wife have chosen to make Portland their home and raise their children here, for the same reasons many others, including myself, have made the same choice.

Learn Portland former players, then post. :D

    EX-BLAZERS' HOME COURT: PORTLAND

Portland has become home for many former Trail Blazers through the years. And that's the case today, with nearly two dozen living in the metropolitan area, plus Larry Steele in Vernonia and Darrell Imhoff in Bend.

Here's a summary of those former Blazers and what they are doing (with their years as a Portland player in parentheses):

    Rick Adelman

    (1970-73)

Also assistant coach, 1984-89, and head coach, 1989-94.

Age: 70. Hometown: Portland. Retired. Married to Mary Kay, with six children, 10 grandchildren and another on the way.

    ADELMAN

Since becoming an original Trail Blazer in the inaugural 1970-71 season, Adelman has called Oregon home except for four of his seven years as head coach of the Sacramento Kings.

Adelman: "I compare Sacramento to Portland in a lot of ways, but Portland is really a unique city. It was a great place to raise a family. We have fond memories of that. It's the place where we've always felt most comfortable. The people are wonderful. They recognize you when you're out and about, but they're still nice and respectful in approaching you. I've always appreciated that."

    (See more in accompanying story.)

    Danny Anderson

    (1974-76)

Age: 66. Hometown: Lake Oswego. Retired. Divorced, with three children, one grandchild and another on the way.

    ANDERSON

Anderson played only two NBA seasons — both with Portland — before settling into a career as a homebuilder. He lived in Portland until a move to Bend about 10 years ago, but moved back to the Portland area in 2015.

Anderson: "I could have gone back to Southern California, but Portland always felt like home. All my friends were here. I started my business here. It's gorgeous, though there's a price for that — the rain."

    Steve Blake

    (2005-06, 2007-10, 2014-15)

Age: 37. Hometown: West Linn. Retired after playing part of the 2016-17 season in Australia. Married to Kristen, with three children.

    BLAKE

The only Blazer to serve three stints with the club, Blake chose to make Portland his offseason home from the time he first arrived in 2005.

Blake: "We've made this our home for a few reasons. One, we love the people here. We have become good friends with a lot of people in our church and with the pastor. The summers here are beautiful. We don't mind the rain in the winter. The schools systems are great. We feel it's a great place to raise our family."

Blake's 13-year NBA playing career ended after last season with the Detroit Pistons. He spent a month in Australia before returning before Christmas to tend to some "family matters."

"Once I got back," Blake says, "I decided to retire."

Blake and wife Kristen have sons age 10, 8 and 6. The oldest, Nicholas, plays for a West Linn select basketball team, and Steve serves as an assistant coach.

"It's been nice to dedicate all my time to my family, to be free of a schedule for the first time," Blake says. "I've enjoyed the rest on my body and being away from the stress of a basketball season, mentally and physically."

Blake hasn't attended any Blazer games.

"I watched one game on TV, but I haven't been watching too much basketball," he says. "I've stepped away from the game a little bit. I get my basketball fix in with my kids."

Blake never won an NBA championship, but he played for eight different organizations, reached the playoffs nine years, and earned more than $36 million in salary as an undersize 6-3, 170-pound point guard.

"It was a blessing," Blake says. "I had the opportunity to play with a lot of great players and for some great coaches. I worked as hard as I could to be good enough to play for that long. I fought back from some injuries. It was a fun 13 years. I wouldn't trade it for the world."

    Kenny Carr

    (1982-87)

Age: 61. Hometown: West Linn. Runs Carr Construction Inc., which has 90 employees. Married, with three children and two grandchildren.

    CARR

A Washington, D.C., native, Carr has called Portland home since 1986, when he founded Carr Construction.

Carr: "We got the business started the year before I retired. My kids started going to school. They grew up here. We began making good friends. And suddenly, our roots were very deep. My family loves it here. We like the change of seasons. The winters are mild — usually, at least. And we're not that far from Phoenix, L.A. or ports south to do something in the warm weather if we need to."

    Terry Dischinger

    (1972-73)

Age: 76. Hometown: Lake Oswego. Retired after working 38 years as an orthodontist. Married to Mary, with three children and nine grandchildren.

    DISCHINGER

Dischinger played the final of his nine NBA seasons in Portland, pushing for a trade to the Blazers so he could begin an orthodontic practice after retiring as a player. Nearly 45 years later, he is still living here.

Dischinger: "I was playing in Detroit, and I initially tried to get traded to Phoenix, but that didn't work out. So they put me in touch with (Blazers GM Stu Inman), who told me, 'You'll really like it here.' He was right. It's been wonderful. I had great people to serve in my practice, my kids got a great education, and we've loved being here all these years."

    Channing Frye

    (2007-09)

Age: 33. Hometown. Portland. Member of Cleveland Cavaliers. Married to Lauren, with two children.

    FRYE

Frye is the sole former Blazer still active as a player in the NBA who chooses Portland as his offseason home. His wife is a Tualatin native.

Frye: "When I came here, I fell in love with the city — not only the people, but everything about it. My kids love it. My friends are here. Whenever I come back, it's always a special place. When I'm done playing, it's where we're going to live."

    Brian Grant

    (1997-2000)

Age: 45. Hometown: West Linn. Occasional radio analyst for Trail Blazers. Divorced, with eight children.

    GRANT

Grant bought a house in West Linn in 2005 with the idea of making it his family's permanent home. He retired from the NBA in 2006 and runs the Brian Grant Foundation.

Grant: "I love this community. I've made some great friends here. It's been a great place to raise your kids. I'm an outdoors guy, and there are so many activities — going to the beach, to the mountains, fishing and so on."

    Bob Gross

    (1975-82)

Age: 63. Hometown: Happy Valley. Project manager, McBride Construction. Married to Cindy, with two children and four grandchildren.

    GROSS

The San Diego native and starting small forward on Portland's 1977 championship team has lived here since coming to the Blazers, save for one year in San Diego. He lived in Beaverton, Lake Oswego and West Linn before settling in Happy Valley.

Gross: "It's home. I had no intention of moving back to Southern California. San Diego is nice, but we knew this is where we wanted to be. We have pretty good weather compared to most places, my business opportunities were here, and this is where all of our friends are."

    Shaler Halimon

    (1970-71)

Age: 72. Hometown: Tigard. Retired in 2012 after driving for TriMet for 35 years. Divorced, with one child and two grandchildren.

    HALIMON

Halimon joins Adelman as the only original Blazers living in town. "Super Shay" has made Portland his home since 1978.

Halimon: "I'm from Michigan, so I like the weather in Oregon. I don't mind shoveling rain. I can go to the mountains or ocean whenever I want. When I worked for TriMet, it afforded me the opportunity to raise a family. I worked with the Blazer alumni program for 25 years and enjoyed helping raise money for different programs and charities."

    Michael Harper

    (1980-82)

Age: 59. Hometown: West Linn. Agent for State Farm Insurance. Married to Lisa, with three children.

    HARPER

"The Grasshopper" has been a Portland-area resident since 1980, "the day before Mount St. Helens erupted," he says. "I was here to stay."

Harper: "I met and married my beautiful wife here. We love the incredible people and the awesome opportunities the state has provided me as a former Blazer."

    Antonio Harvey

    (1999-2001)

Age: 46. Hometown: Tualatin. Operates Terra Mater Farms cannabis company. Married to Jennifer, with four children.

    HARVEY

Harvey has called the Portland area home since coming to the Blazers in 1999. After an eight-year NBA career ended in 2003, Harvey spent 11 years as Brian Wheeler's radio analyst with the Blazers before being let go after last season.

He says he is doing fine. "I grow weed for a living," Harvey said. "How can I be doing bad?"

Harvey doesn't expect a return to the booth.

"I'll never get back into broadcasting," says Harvey, 46, married with four children. "I can't take the travel. Now that I'm home every night, I recognize how much family time I missed. I don't want to do that again."

Harvey says he hasn't watched a full Blazers game this season.

"Parts of two or three games," he says. "I have kids who play sports. I play Wii games every night with my baby boy. My nights are spent with my family now. It's been a blessing."

Harvey, who coached the minor league Portland Reign in 2003-04, misses that part of the game.

"I'd love to get back into coaching," he says. "If I could find a good high school job, I'd jump on it."

Harvey on Portland: "There is a level of recognition for being a former player, but it's not overwhelming. I can walk through the mall and people come up and talk and are nice, but I don't get mobbed. It's one of the few NBA cities where you get that love but also respect. I recognize how special the city is that way."

    Michael Holton

    (1986-88)

Age: 55. Hometown: Portland. Agent for State Farm Insurance, TV studio analyst for the Blazers. Married to LaShell, with three children and one grandchild.

    HOLTON

Holton has made Portland his home since 2001.

Holton: "From when we first came here, I felt a part of the Blazer family. I felt a strong connection to the organization. That relationship dynamic grew. Our first child was born here. When we moved about, we always talked about coming back. In the end, Portland was just where we preferred to live and raise our family."

    Darrall Imhoff

    (1971-72)

Age: 78. Hometown: Bend. Semi-retired; "I still work in the goldmining business." Married to Susan, with five children, 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    IMHOFF

Imhoff, who calls himself "Grand Daddy D, the oldest living Blazer," lived in Hillsboro and Eugene before settling in Bend a year and a half ago.

Imhoff: "I was born and raised in L.A., but Oregon was the place for me. I came from a hunting and fishing family. I got my degree from Cal in forestry. It was natural for me to end up in a place with lots of trees and outdoor recreation."

    Steve Johnson

    (1986-89)

Age: 59. Hometown: Portland. Manages yachting lifestyle website. Married to Janice, with four children, six grandchildren and another on the way.

    JOHNSON

Johnson has been a Portland resident since leaving Oregon State in 1982. His wife's father, Stu Inman, was general manager and director of player personnel for the Blazers.

Johnson: "I was raised in San Bernardino (California) and knew I wasn't going back there. Portland is absolutely beautiful. It's a nice midsize city, and it doesn't take you long to get out into the country, to the ocean, to the mountains, to Central Oregon. You can't beat the quality of life and the beauty of Oregon, and we have friendly, outgoing people here."

    Lloyd Neal

    (1972-79)

Age: 66. Hometown: Portland. Retired after 38-year career as revenue officer for the IRS. Divorced, with two children and one grandchild.

    NEAL

A Talbottom, Georgia, native and a former Tennessee State standout, Neal has made Portland his home since coming to the Blazers in 1972.

Neal: "Initially, I was trying to determine whether I'd go back to Georgia or Tennessee after I retired. Then I got a job here. I like the livability of the city. I like the Oregon Coast. I like the water around the city. I like the beauty of the flowers and the trees in the spring. It's been a nice place to live all these years."

    Tom Owens

    (1977-81)

Age: 67. Hometown: West Linn. Retired. Married to Lydia, with two children.

    Terry Porter

    (1985-95)

Age: 53. Hometown: Portland. Head coach, University of Portland. Married to Susie, with three children.

    PORTER

Even while serving as head coach at two NBA stops (Milwaukee and Phoenix), Porter has kept a home in Portland since 1985.

Porter: "I just love the way the people of this city have been so great to me and my family. I've maintained a close relationship with the Blazer organization, too. Portland has always been the place we've called home."

    Cliff Robinson

    (1989-97)

Age: 50. Hometown: Portland. Under the "Uncle Spliffy" banner, is doing licensing endorsement partnering with companies that market cannabis products. Divorced, with six children and one grandchild.

    ROBINSON

Robinson lived here on and off since joining the Blazers in 1989, and has been here this time for more than a year. He played with five teams in his 18 NBA seasons, but says he has been a "Rip City" guy all the way.

Robinson: "The fans and people of Portland have always been very welcoming. Even after I moved on to other teams, this was the place that most felt like home. I love all the outdoor activities — snowboarding, camping, paintball. I'm doing a lot of things I wouldn't be doing if I were living back East. This state is a great place to live."

    Greg Smith

    (1972-76)

Age: 70. Hometown: Tualatin. Working part-time in sales with Salem Communications. Married to Linda, with five children and 11 grandchildren.

    SMITH

Smith worked nearly four decades in advertising with KGW Radio after making Portland his home in 1972.

Smith: "While traveling through the NBA, you get a chance to see the pluses and minuses of all the cities. Portland was just so comfortable for me and my family. We acquired a great many friends, and I got a very good job once I retired from playing. All those elements came together to make this our home."

    Larry Steele

    (1971-80)

He lives 10 miles outside of Vernonia and is in his 30th year running the Larry Steele Basketball Camps there with his son, Ryan.

Steele: "Why have I lived in Oregon all this time? A very simple answer. It's a great place to live. I was very fortunate to be drafted by the Blazers. I've raised my kids here, and now I see our grandkids growing up … so much fun. We love the natural beauty of the state, too."

Webster: "We decided to live here since it's a wonderful place to raise a family, and it's not too far from Seattle. i genuinely like it here. It's a friendly city with a very positive vibe here. It's a little more laid-back than Seattle, and has all the Pacific Northwest qualities. It's a win-win for our family."
