The Westchester Knicks (5-0), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, extended their winning streak to five in a row, staying undefeated with an 85-78 win over the Idaho Stampede (1-4), the Utah Jazz affiliate.
Idaho struck first in what would be a slow first quarter, but Westchester took off on a 12-2 run three minutes in to quickly take the lead. Though the Knicks turned the ball over six times in the quarter, the Stampede could only capitalize for three points. Taking advantage of Idaho's 6-for-24 field goal attempts, Westchester held on to the lead though the first.

The turnovers continued for the Knicks in the second, with the Stampede taking better advantage this time by tallying 10 points off of them. Idaho was able to sneak in a lead five minutes into the quarter but it would only last for a moment as Westchester quickly retaliated and held the slight lead through the remainder of the half.

The Stampede quickly took back the lead to start the third, the two teams trading a total of nine leads in the quarter. Idaho won the quarter with a slight edge led in part by center Jack Cooley's nine rebounds, the Knicks trailing by one heading into the final twelve minutes.

Westchester guard Kevin Capers lit up the court off the bench in the fourth, sinking two in a row from beyond the arc to charge up the Knicks. Finishing with 13 points in the fourth alone, Capers led the Knicks' fourth quarter rally with the team outscoring the Stampede 27-19. Though they came within one with just under two minutes to go, Idaho was held at a standstill, the Knicks charging forward with the win.

Westchester guard Travis Trice II led all scorers in the contest with 19 points, also notching six rebounds and four assists. Sean Marshall tallied 17 points, contributing five rebounds and two assists. Kevin Capers finished his big game with 14 points, also recording three rebounds and two steals. As a team, the Knicks recorded 13 blocks on the night, tying the franchise record.

Idaho's Jack Cooley had a staggering 22 rebounds in the game, recording the double-double with 13 points. Brandon Fields led the Stampede in scoring with 14 points, totaling six assists and four rebounds. Jeff Ayres had the team's other double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Westchester Knicks are back in action at home on Monday, Nov. 30 for a 7:00 p.m. match-up against the Grand Rapids Drive. The game will be broadcast live on MSG 2 and YouTube.
