Oh youre right the government cant enforce it, but individuals can..I dont think they will change the age and I dont think all people are as dependable as that. But as a group if you follow rules like that I think its ok..Me and my friends always get rid of our keys ahead of time and then there are no problems..There is no way the government can enforce that, I wasnt implying that, its one of those things you have to do collectively, but you definatly cant rely on everyone to adhere to a rule like that..Its still illegal, obviously, but I think if you do it in a smart way like that, its not a big issue..
Drinking alchohol is an addicition, like people looking at porn or $hit.Plus, the drinking age limit has to ALWAYS be above the driving age, so if the drinking age reduced to 18, that means the driving would be at 14 or something, and that's WAY too slow...
Here in the area that I live underage bringe drinking is a bad problem, people my age are ruining their lives by drinking and getting drunk ever night, a long time friend of mines was raped because she was runk, there is also a lot of stabbings and car crime becuase of it, and it is getting a bad reputation for a liot of us which really pisses me off...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Its pretty easy, you go to a party and everyone there gives their keys to someone and doesnt get them back untill the next day..</div>But who says it's always at a friend's house, I don't expect people to stay wherever they drink till the next day. Their most likely going home. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Plus, the drinking age limit has to ALWAYS be above the driving age, so if the drinking age reduced to 18, that means the driving would be at 14 or something, and that's WAY too slow...</div>18 is above 16, so why are you decreasing the driving age to 14? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>but I think if you do it in a smart way like that, its not a big issue..</div>That's the problem, most people are stupid when it comes to drinking.
I don't see anything wrong with it. Even if you drink till you're falling down and screw yourself up, that's your own fault.
If people want to drink they can drink for all I care. It's really all about the person. Personally, I've known people obsessed with drinking and drugs, who go down the craphole. However, I also know people who get drunk regularily and even get some weed in, but are 90% students. They can do what they want, as long as it doesn't affect me

If you let minors drink alcohol they will over-drink. They do it right now and even more will do it if you make it legal for them. They don't know when to stop, especially around their friends. I don't care if you know your fill and when to stop, most teenagers do not.

Do you want to be on the road with those kinds of people.
drinking is bad, mmkay.nah but i'll tell you guys straight up. i'm a sophmore in high school and i drink. sometimes i get out of control and sometimes i don't. it's not a good thing to do but it's hella fun. i'm telling you this, i'm not regretting drinking.but that's not the point. whoever says that it's dangerous and they're not allowed to is right. so many people get hurt or die from just some alcohol. it MAY be part of the high school experience, or it MAY be just for fun or something. but you have to drink w/ caution. you have to know in your head that if you drink and drive you are putting yourself in risk of dying because no matter how good a driver you are, once you get intoxicated you cannot drive as well as you would if you were sober. if you're not stumbling and stuff the alcohol is still in your brain slowing you down w/ your ability to make rational decisions. no matter how much you drink you're not good to drive. it's like poison to you.so just think before you drink. too much can kill you. people have died from over-drinking. even more people have died from drink driving. just be careful. it's not cool when one of your best friends or family members gets killed by a drunk driver, so next time you drink just think about them or yourself. keep it under control. that's the key.

Muslims are allowed to smoke but not drink? Find me in the Koran where it says you can't drink.

It's supposed to be about whether or not it's okay for kids to drink alchohol in low levels under their parents' permission.

As long as their not driving and it's been ok'd by some guardian, than I think it's completely fine. I can go to Iraq and kill someone with an m-16 but I can't sip a beer...total <Censored>. I see nothing wrong with drinking as long as it's done responsibly...you only live once :beerchug:

I spose that is something that is terribly wrong with teenage drinking, and drinking in general. Myself, I choose not to drink frequently for those reasons: So I don't get addicted, so I don't have an accident if I hapen to drive (Which I really am not in a great position to do yet anyway)
