"Buddies" is maybe a bit of an exagération. But let's say that I know him since before he was drafted by Chicago. He used to play for an Italian team (Biella). Since that day we have quite a lot of contacts and he definitely knows who i am rooting for. Always had nice words for the team. Last few years he was under contract in Atlanta so it wasn't his choice. But I always let him know that a defnsive spécialist would be key in Portland. When he will be back in Switzerland I will see him. Hopefully before 1st of july
Can teams do sign and trades during the draft, i.e. sign and trade a player for draft picks, etc....or no because the player doesn't officially become a free agent till July?
