New Law Makes Insane Thing Illegal

Missouri legislation makes it illegal to sleep on state owned land while homeless.

There are much better ways to reduce the pressure on social security. Very simple ways.

Just got done watching the Blazers Presser with Anf, Nurk, Grant, Payton, Eubanks and was thinking because of capitalism and competition, these young people have reached their dreams and are Multi Millionaires.

In 1935 when social security started the life expectancy was 60 years. Payout started at 65yrs but most only lived to 60yrs.

If we were to tie SS to current life expectancy + 5 years you would save SS and the focus would be on extending the life of the citizens of this country.

Current life expectancy in the US is 79yrs, so that would mean no SS until a person reaches 84yrs.

    ...

Or we could cut 8% off of our military budget.

It's the lack of regulation that is the problem.

You know I forgot about that! Most people don't reach the maximum amount and never think about it. Good idea!

I disagree with this. It's not a lack of regulation, it's performing regulation of the right things in the right way in my opinion.

    Oh fer gods sake.

First, the semiconductor manufacturing bill is being considered by the Senate. Nancy is in the House.
Second, it's entirely public knowledge that the Senate is considering it, and what's in the bill. There's no insider information to be had here.
Third, what Pelosi's hubby bought is Nvidia. Nvidia isn't a chip manufacturer, they aren't going to get any direct benefit from the bill should it pass.
Fourth, he was exercising expiring call options that he bought back in June 2021, long before anyone knew the Senate would be considering the bill this month.

There are great arguments for restricting government officials from trading stock, and great examples of abuse (even some involving Pelosi).

This is neither. And those people in the video are morons.
