Not surprised one bit by Faber being an anti-vaccer.

Brad Pickett vs. Tom Almeida at UFC 189, with Pickett returning to bantamweight

Can't help but feel this is a go-for-broke choice by Pickett who may call it a night if he loses. Almedia is a big prospect at that weight class and Pickett is on the wrong side of 35 and has lost two straight.

Woodley is trying to talk his way into fighting Hendricks, who he is accusing of ducking him.

Some guys are getting completely screwed. Didn't Matt Mitrione state he had a sponsor that was paying him $20k alone for fights?

Yes, he's furious. As is Brendan Schaub. Roger Narvaez, who isn't exactly well known, says he made $5,000 from just one sponsor for his last fight but will make only $2,500 total for his next fight thanks to the deal.

Schaub says he's been making over $100,000 from sponsors for each of his last six fights. He's taking a massive cut for this deal.

These guys can go out and make commercials or whatever for the sponsors that aren't able to pay them anymore. They probably won't be allowed to say/show that they are in the UFC, though. Granted, that takes a great deal more effort from everyone involved and is much more costly than a badge on a pair of shorts, t-shirts, and a banner. But hey... actually I don't see the upside to this.

Does anyone else feel like the UFC saw millions of dollars going directly to the fighters and figured they could take most of that and shave some off for the fighters instead, because fuck it, they are the UFC and if the fighters don't like it they can go kick rocks?

Aljo Sterling says he's happy to give up half his income to not have to "whore" himself to multiple sponsors. I don't think the fighters in the UFC who have families are able to shake off half their income in exchange for convenience.

The UFC is hoping to deflect some negative attention by saying these numbers are minimums and that more sponsors could be added in the future. Which makes sense because some guy on Twitter who ran the math figured the fighters are only getting about 60% of what they were promised.

This weekend's main event fighters Stipe Miocic and Mark Hunt would each make $5,000 from the new deal.

When is somebody going to recognize that there is a big problem with the way these guys train?

Barnett vs. Nelson booked for the UFC's return to Japan this summer. Excellent scrap.

    Nelson has started training already...

    Event moved to Florida.

Machida's still elite. He gave Weidman a hell of a fight. I don't know if he's ready to retire.

Michael Johnson vs. Benson Henderson booked for, then removed from, TUF 21 Finale card.

Henderson has withdrawn for undisclosed reasons. Johnson may remain on the card.
