    Dunno if you guys remember Josh Grispi. Dude was hot shit in the WEC. Didn't pan out in the UFC. Did some crazy DV stuff and got arrested. He's getting locked up for 5.5 years for gun charges, assault, etc. Just loads of wonderful MMA news this weekend.

    Josh Grispi was convicted on 25 counts of assault and gun charges by a jury in Brockton (Mass.) Superior Court on Friday, per a release from the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office. He was sentenced to 5-1/2 years in jail by judge Richard Chin. Grispi also received an additional five years of probation once he is released from jail.

    Gavin Tucker, the Canadian featherweight who impressed in his debut win against Sam Sicilia in February, will face Rick Glenn in Edmonton at UFC 216 in September. That card doesn't have a main event yet.

    Four-time D1 All American and SD state wrestling champion Logan Storley (5-0) has signed with Bellator. His main reason for signing is that he makes more in sponsorship money than he would with the UFC. Storley, IIRC, is the fifth big time wrestling prospect Bellator has signed in the last couple of years (including the likes of Aaron Pico and Ed Ruth).

    The winner of Whittaker/Romero could coach against Michael Bisping on the next season of TUF.

    Since Bisping is still recovering the timing of this would be good.

    Obviously the UFC would love to have Romero and his translator/henchman coaching against Bisping, that'd make for good TV, so based on Murphy's Law put your money on Bobby Knuckles this weekend.
