    There was a rumour that the UFC wanted Bisping & Romero to coach TUF but when Whittaker won they changed their minds and went with Alvarez/Gaethje. The timing of it was suspect.

    Whittaker says was offered the spot and turned it down. TUF would be good for his exposure but I understand not wanting to take extra months off for that shit.

    Whittaker says he can resume training in about seven weeks and could still fight before the end of the year. Ugh.

    Stipe Miocic is a little perturbed that people are calling Jon Jones the Baddest Man on the Planet.

    Jones says he won't fight Miocic because he is too big.

    I feel like Miocic should be pushing for this one instead of chasing the Anthony Joshua dream.

    I think JJ is willing to do a one-off with Lesnar for a big payday but he's not willing to move up to HW.

    Jones what, 6'4" and probably walks around 240lbs? He's basically saying he wants to maintain his current size advantage over like 80% of the LHW division.

    I mean, he has a good case for GOAT as is, but if he went up and won the HW title, it would cement it in a lot of peoples minds.

    For sure. I think it is a four-way split right now with people thinking Fedor, Spider, and GSP are the GOAT, along with him. If he was to move up and grab that HW belt he'd pull ahead I think. Some might still have reservations with him and Spider both being caught doping or at the very, very least being careless.

    I get the feeling skill sets play into this. Against Lesnar he really only has to defend the takedown while it being a huge pay day because a lot of people will watch. Against Miocic there is a solid chance of being violently knocked out without having the same amount of people watching the fight.

    Despite being from Rochester, NY (IIRC) Jon Jones doesn't want to fight in New York or at least is less enthusiastic about it than he could be given their 9% state income tax. I think Nevada is 0%.
