Michael Bisping has retired. Fighters are never really, truly retired, but if he gets his eye fixed that'd be a strong indicator he won't fight again. Hall of Fame career topped with a late title win. Loads of records. Hopefully he made some good money. He has done some acting, maybe getting his eye done will help with that as well.

I heard his good eye was starting to have issues and that was the final deciding factor for him. I used to despise the guy but he really won me over the last few years. The dude was always game to fight. Hope he does well in retirement. I'm sure he will always have his commentating gig or could easily find a new one if he looses it in the transition to ESPN.

Ricco Rodriguez and Bec Rawlings are both involved in the inaugural Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship tonight.

They were advertising it at the local watering hole. The promoters must be putting in work to get attention up here.

Brad Tavares out of the main event at the TUF Finale vs. Israel Adesanya. Not sure if there are a lot of guys wanting to jump into that one.

The rest of the card is not looking good.

The farewell episode of The MMA Hour was today. Helwani is moving to ESPN and will be doing a new variation of his news show there.

The MMA Hour has been invaluable for giving fighters the chance to speak their minds, usually before and after major bouts.

Should be interesting to see if DFW goes back to trying to fuck with him. Also interesting to see if he can prevent a conflict of interest working for the UFC's broadcaster.

Alexander Gustafsson apparently wants to be the 205 welcoming committee for displaced 185-lb fighters. Says he would like to fight Yoel Romero with winner getting next 205 title shot. Not sure if it is a knock on the talent level at 205 or if he just really wants to fight lighter guys.

On a side note has anyone ever been busted trying to cheat in as many ways as Yoel Romero? There was the failed drug test or two. Now showing up over weight a couple of times. The stool incident with Tim Kennedy. That dude has found every way possible to try to game the system.

He is insanely charismatic. When you're famous they let you do it.

    https://themaclife.com/featured-posts/brock-lesnar-set-appear-ufc-226-report/

Speculation appears to be growing more robust that Brock Lesnar will make a return to the UFC sooner rather than later but, according to professional wrestling and mixed martial arts insider Dave Meltzer, it might just come sooner than you think.

Meltzer suggests on his Wrestling Observer Newsletter that talks are underway to have Lesnar appear at next month’s UFC 226 event in Las Vegas, which is headlined by the heavyweight title bout between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier, in what would be one giant tease for an impending return. It is also rumoured that Lesnar’s next MMA opponent could be named, possibly even the winner of the main event.

    As is Moose vs Rory.

I hate both fights but for different reasons.

Page Wand makes no sense. I saw the third fight, Wand got stretched and has been inactive for years, Page is not what he was but should easily wreck him again. Is it at heavyweight too?

Moose and Rory need to defend their belts at least once, right? I guess this counts as a defence for Moose if it is a title fight but Rory eeked put his title win and should be defending.
