Total slacker, sorry, but we're in a gap right now, no fights for three weeks.

DJ will probably get a rematch since there are contenders at 135 and none at 125. Joe Benavidez fucked up by losing to Sergio. He'd be next. Since Sergio has a loss to Cejudo now there isn't a clear contender.

Stipe/DC makes sense. Volkov will have a shout if he wins his next fight. Blaydes is right there, too.

    Winner of Khabib/Conor, presumably.

Yeah, but in the meanwhile maybe they'll get GSP to headline the NYC card. Does anyone really want to see GSP/Anderson at this point, though? Silva is a complete shell of what he used to be.

If GSP wins that, give him the winner of Conor/Khabib at the February super bowl card? I think its a shame GSP doesn't seem interested in fighting at WW.

    Bellator welterweight tournament set.
    A) Rory MacDonald vs Jon Fitch and Neiman Gracie vs Ed Ruth: With winners facing each other.
    b) Douglas Lima vs Andrey Koreshkov and Paul Daley vs MVP: With winners facing each other.
    C) Winner of group A fights winner of Group B, so probably MacDonald will fight Lima or Koreshkov.
    D) All fights will be 5 rounds.
    E) Rory MacDonald against Jon Fitch will be a championship fight. Whoever wins that fight will be in a championship fight their next fight against Gracie or Ruth. Whoever wins that will once again be in a championship fight in the finals.
    F) Lorenz Larkin vs Yaroslav Amosov is the alternate fight.

I guess it is something to keep Volkov busy while the HW championship waits on Brock Lesnar or a Miocic rematch. It's what we call Ronaldo Souza territory.

Dave Meltzer was on a podcast talking about the NYC card and what the UFC is hoping happens...at least according to a Sherdog thread. This has also been talked about by Brendan Schaub on his podcast

According to Meltzer, the UFC is hoping that Jones' gets a retroactive 1 year suspension and is free to fight. Gus / Jones II will headline the UFC NYC card and GSP will headline a December card.

Anderson Silva got off lightly. It isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Lewis vs. Volkov will co-main UFC 229. Volkov is calculating so this fight could be another slow one.

Can't see GSP taking that fight... Ragin' Al would be my guess.

Ragin' Al wants Tony in November. Don't see why Tony would take that fight...there's gotta be someone more legit than Al.
