I am not excited for UFC 96. The main event is lame. Unless Jardine puts on an epic performance, Jackson should handle him with ease.
Looks like Cro Cop will indeed be on the UFC 99 card. In much more interesting news, his return fight could be against Randy Couture. http://dreamfighters.com/?p=1522
Marcus "The International" Davis is expected to compete at UFC 99. For those keeping track, Davis hasn't fought stateside since April of 2007. It will be his seventh straight fight overseas.
This is still a rumor, but it's from MMAWeekly so it's fairly solid. Rich Franklin vs.... Wanderlai Silva!! at UFC 99 in Germany The fight may be at a catchweight of 195 lbs as Wand has been training to drop to MiddleWeight (185 lbs.)
Kind of strange they have Rich move up then ask him to move back down two fights in a row, but it is an intriguing fight nonetheless.
A source in Randy's camp denies that he is fighting at UFC 99, so possibly we'll see Mirko vs. Big Nog II? That would be cool.
I think this Wand's fight to lose. Ace doesn't have the one punch KO power that gets Wand in trouble. Wand will close in and make it a brawl and I'm not sure how Ace will handle it.
I want to agree with you, but I am leaning towards Ace here. He is younger and looks good at the higher weight. Wandy is too small to be fighting 205'ers. If there is a catch weight, than that helps Wandy out a little. Either way, I think Ace might be able to pick Wandy apart like Liddell did.
UFC 99 is loooking good Penn vs. Florian Cro Cop vs. ??? (rumors say it could be big nog) Ace vs. Silva
Cro-Cop/Couture has been rumoured as well..... talk about a bad matchup for CroCop. If Randy closes the distance it's over.
Pretty crazy that six years ago this fight would've probably spelled death for Randy Couture, but now that Randy is pushing 50, he's the favourite!
