Patrick Cote will probably be back for UFC 113 but he won't be fighting Rich Franklin. Franklin wants to stay at light heavyweight.
Despite persistent rumours that BJ Penn doesn't want to fight outside of the United States (because of the negative effect tape-delayed shows have on PPV buyrates, and thus on his PPV cut), he expects to fight next at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi. Probably against Gray Maynard (if he gets past Nate Diaz).
ooo, that could be the event where Carwin/Mir winner vs Brock goes down. or Shogun/Machida 2. Both would draw big crowds.
James "If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all" Irvin returns in March. Probably at the UFN.
It was originally thought that UFC 110 was going to be on SpikeTV--because it's airing free in Australia on ONE HD--but it isn't. It's a tape-delayed PPV.
If you're title fight starved, check out the lineup for UFC's 111-113. GSP vs. Hardy Mir vs. Carwin (Interim) Silva vs. Belfort Penn vs. (Edgar?) Machida vs. Shogun 2 All five titles on three cards in a span of about five weeks. Sweetness.
fucking lame. I am sure a lot of other people will get really excited about that but I think that's weak if it turns out to be the main event.
